Operations & Commercial Manager - Fertilizer

Location: Türkiye (Remote)

Start-up position within a well-established international Agricultural company

We are trying to secure an experienced Ops Manager and Commercial Trader - from the Fertilizer industry - based in Turkiye. My Client is an agri-commodities distributor & trader and is building a transparent, efficient, and scalable fertilizer supply chain for the Turkish Market. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience working at the following companies:

Tarım Kredi, Gübretaş, Toros, İgsaş, Bagfaş, Dr. Tarsa, Vitamin Gübre, Konya Şeker, Alp Ates, Alkegesta, Brain Invest, etc.

We are looking for a hands-on Fertilizer Trader to start up the entire operation in Turkiye. If you want to build a business from scratch, can speak English fluently and have an existing network in the agri-industry, please apply!

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• End-to-End Trade Execution.
• Supply Chain & Logistics.
• Risk & Compliance.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regulations on fertilizer registration and import licensing, and manage Letters of Credit (LCs).
• Relationship Building.
• Export & Re-export of the products from Turkey ports to EU countries.

Requirements:

• Experience: 4 –10 years in fertilizers.
• Start-up or entrepreneurial trading experience.
• Experience in Bulk Fertilizer, large volumes.
• Existing Network: Proven, verifiable relationships with at least 2–3 international producers OR large-scale Turkish buyers/distributors.
• Knows Turkish fertilizer import & licensing procedures.
• LC documentation & trade finance.
• Port & inland logistics within Turkey (port storage, trucking, rail).
• Fluent in English - speak and write.
