Ops Intern - Projects & Partnerships
Butterfly Effect · UK · January 2027 · 6-month internship
Project Cocoon is our six-month internship programme. Real client work from day one, a dedicated captain invested in your development, and a clear decision on what comes next.
You are the reason things actually happen. You have run an event, a society, a team, a shop floor or a group project that would have fallen apart without you and you enjoyed it.
At Butterfly Effect, we believe bold creativity transforms communities and brands alike. We are a creative house of community builders, conversation drivers and chaos-makers.
Our mission is to harness the power of culture, creativity and strategic insight to elevate brands, shape conversations and spark lasting impact.
What you'll be doing
Ops is the reason clients feel looked after. Work lands on time, questions get answered in under half a day, and every client can see exactly where things stand.
Running project timelines in Asana and keeping campaigns moving across creative, tech and client teams
Client communication: updates, dashboards, and the kind of replies that make people relax
Supporting the quieter engines, people operations, partnerships, finance and legal admin
Event logistics, from the plan to the room to the follow-up
Spotting the thing that is about to go wrong before it doesps
Who you are
We hire for six things, and we look for proof rather than promises.
Ambitious. You have a goal and you are already moving towards it — something you organised, ran or built
Competitive. You keep score on your own progress and you want to be the best intern we have ever had
Durable. You have had something go badly wrong on your watch and handled it. Feedback sharpens you rather than flattens you
Heart of gold. You help people with nothing in it for you. This one is non-negotiable
Fresh thinking. You question how things have always been done, and you get creative when a plan breaks
Tech-inclined. You use AI and new tools every week to take work off your own plate
What you'll need
Evidence you have organised something real with other people depending on you. A society, an event, a team, a campaign, a job where you held the schedule, we don't mind the setting
Writing that is clear and warm. Most of this job is communication
You use AI tools weekly to move faster, and can tell us what for
You can commit to the full 90 days from January 2027, and you have the right to work in the UK
Nice to have
Asana, Notion, Monday or similar. Event experience. Exposure to budgets, invoices or contracts. Anything that taught you to handle people under pressure, hospitality, retail, sport, student committees.
How to apply
Complete our application form, answering a few short questions (maximum 150 words each), and complete one creative task. The strongest applications will progress to the video stage.
