About Us
Applecart is the leading technology company that C-suites rely on to reach business-critical decision makers. The most important decisions are made by the hardest people to reach and influence. Historically, C-suite leaders have lacked the tools to reach the stakeholders who matter most to their business. The C-suites of hundreds of Fortune 500 companies, major agencies, trade associations, nonprofits, and governments use Applecart to put their best content in front of business-critical decision makers and those they trust — from policymakers and investors to CEOs, key employees, members of the media and more. Decision makers are informed by what they read, learn from advisors, hear from colleagues, and discuss with family and friends. To break through to them, you must reach them through the only channel that really moves them: those they know and trust. Applecart’s platform uses publicly available data to map billions of social relationships between nearly every American adult and enable clients to deliver content directly to decision makers and those who matter most to them.
We are hiring an Operations Manager, Strategic Projects in our New York City office.
About the Role:
You will play a central role in high-profile and high-priority strategic projects across the company during a period of hypergrowth for a venture-backed, growth stage startup. In this position, you will work across a broad set of strategic functions, including business operations, sales enablement, finance, client services, media, and creative teams to ensure that the business scales to its fullest potential. This role will report directly to the VP of Operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive end-to-end execution of high-stakes, cross-functional projects, including strategic ideation, scoping, resourcing, executive alignment, project management, hands-on execution, and change management
- Lead the implementation of new processes and systematically track adoption after handover to ensure long-term retention and operational alignment
- Act as a liaison between leadership and relevant stakeholders during project execution to resolve blockers and streamline communications
- Develop models and memos, to inform Co-CEOs and senior executives in scenario planning and operational decision-making
- Drive the creation and strategic rationale behind critical communications, ensuring consistent messaging across internal communications (executive meetings, company all-hands presentations, and external client collateral)
- Contribute to the definition of long-term strategy, tracking current performance against future-state objectives, identifying gaps and creating strategic project roadmaps to close them
- Design and build company-wide systems to surface key financial and operational performance metrics that improve cross-department execution and decision-making
Experiences and Capabilities You Bring:
- 5+ years of work experience: 2-3 years at a top tier management consulting firm or investment bank, with 1-3 years of additional experience (e.g., investing role, operating role at a high growth company, etc.)
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced work environment; you identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to drive necessary change
- Demonstrated history of independently forming hypotheses and implementing solutions, with ownership over the outcome
- Outstanding organizational and analytical ability
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Experience managing cross-functional teams on multiple high stakes projects simultaneously, while maintaining a cool confidence
- Strong intellectual curiosity, judgment and personal integrity
This is a hybrid role. Work from home on Monday and Friday and in Applecart’s New York City office Tuesday through Thursday.
Compensation:
- Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation.
- The base salary range for this role is between $150,000-$175,000, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed above. The salary range provided is exclusive of discretionary annual cash bonus and equity compensation. The salary range provided for this role is specific to candidates located in the New York City area.
