Operations Officer

As our Payment Operations Officer , you'll play an important role behind the scenes, ensuring our customers' payments are processed accurately, securely and on time. From supporting high-value domestic and international payments to helping protect customers from scams and resolving transaction disputes, your work will directly contribute to outstanding customer outcomes. You'll make an impact by: Processing domestic and international payment requests accurately and within service standards Investigating payment exceptions and resolving transaction issues efficiently Conducting due diligence to help protect customers from fraud and scam activity Reviewing and managing card and transaction disputes from investigation through to resolution Responding to customer and stakeholder enquiries via phone and email Processing foreign cheque deposits, manual payments and reconciliation activities Identifying and escalating processing errors and operational risks Maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement across the team Do things differently with us This is a fantastic opportunity to build your banking operations career in a collaborative and supportive environment where your attention to detail and customer focus will make a genuine difference every day. To succeed in this role, you'll have: Experience in customer service or financial services (approximately 12 months or more) Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Confidence working across multiple systems in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Experience in payments, cards, reconciliations or banking operations will be highly regarded, but is not essential Why Great Southern Bank?
