As the Operations Specialist, you will support Aon Business Services and ACS Operations, Metrics and Automation Team. This opportunity is viewed as a business partner & advisor who assist varying levels of business unit and corporate personnel in providing analysis, information and data to support achievement of business plans. Additionally, responsible for pulling data via queries and implementing automation and process efficiencies. This role is located in Bannockburn, IL and will be hybrid (In office & remote)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works across business units to provide direction on actions needed to clear open accounts receivable
  • Oversee the review and resolution of outstanding financial transactions
  • Support cash management initiatives
  • Create and analyze complex operational reports
  • Work with finance and account team to produce ad-hoc reports
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other locations and departments to facilitate data requirements
  • Follow standard practices in technology development within the department
  • Assist with proactive management of team deliverables
  • Policy Management System conversion testing and support
  • Perform research to resolve complex discrepancies or client servicing challenges
  • Ensures requests received are processed within applicable service level agreement
  • Ad hoc analysis utilizing Aon systems and databases
  • Identify trends and work with leadership to develop action plans
  • Business decision support
  • Aggregate and consolidate Operational and Financial reports
  • Ensure company and division policies are practiced and supported
  • Other responsibilities and enterprise duties as assigned
  • Create operational reports for daily business processes
  • Create ad-hoc reporting on an as needed basis
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other locations to facilitate data requirements
  • Relies on experience, judgment and best practices to plan and accomplish goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and/or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school; 3 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • SQL experiencepreferred
  • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) experience preferred
  • Excel, Access and database analytics
  • Hands-on experience using Excel, including pivot tables, V-lookups, graphs, functions, links as well as working with external Client/System data preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with a customer service focus preferred
  • a self-starter and independent individual who is able to work in a deadline driven environment

  • Applies job and technical knowledge:Applies specialized knowledge, tools and methodologies within the UiPath and SQL development discipline to enhance organizational performance. Stays abreast of technical developments within the discipline, as well as within the broader business arena.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $55,000 to $61,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
