Oracle Finance Tax & Localization Expert

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Consultant specializing in Oracle Tax and Localization to join our consulting team.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Oracle Cloud Financials implementations, with hands-on expertise in Oracle Tax configuration and/or country-specific tax localizations. The candidate should be capable of understanding complex business and statutory requirements and translating them into scalable Oracle Cloud solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements related to Oracle Cloud Tax and Localization and recommend appropriate functional solutions.
  
• Participate in end-to-end Oracle Fusion Financials implementation projects, with a focus on Tax and Localization workstreams.
  
• Support the design, configuration, testing and deployment of Oracle Fusion Tax functionalities.
  
• Configure Oracle Tax components, including Tax Regimes, Tax, Tax Statuses, Tax Rates, Tax Jurisdictions, Tax Rules and Tax Recovery Rates.
  
• Work on country-specific tax requirements and localizations, such as India GST, UAE VAT, Saudi VAT, withholding tax and other statutory tax requirements.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated Oracle Cloud Financials solutions.
  
• Assess integration requirements with third-party indirect tax engines such as Vertex and Avalara.
  
• Support configuration, integration testing and troubleshooting of third-party tax engine integrations.
  
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, fit-gap analysis, solution design discussions and client demonstrations.
  
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, test scripts and other project deliverables.
  
• Perform functional testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing.
  
• Stay updated with Oracle Cloud quarterly releases and assess their impact on Tax and Localization functionalities.
  
• Provide functional guidance, knowledge sharing and mentoring to junior team members.
  
• Contribute to reusable functional assets, accelerators, implementation methodologies and best practices.
  

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of overall experience in Oracle Financials.
  
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Tax and/or Localization functionalities.
  
• Experience in at least one end-to-end Oracle Fusion Financials implementation project, preferably contributing to the Tax or Localization workstream.
  
• Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Tax configuration and/or country-specific tax localization requirements.
  
• Ability to translate statutory and regulatory requirements into Oracle Cloud functional solutions.
  
• Exposure to third-party tax engines such as Vertex or Avalara is preferred.
  
• Experience in conducting client workshops, requirement-gathering sessions and functional demonstrations.
  
• Hands-on experience in preparing functional specifications, configuration workbooks, test scenarios and test scripts.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
