Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant – OIC / Customs / ODS

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant with 8+ years of experience in Oracle applications, strong expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and hands-on experience working with Customs-related integrations and ODS (Operational Data Store).

The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting Oracle Fusion applications and related third-party systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in OIC, integrations, reporting, data extraction, and troubleshooting complex business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Fusion Technical

• Develop, customize, and support Oracle Fusion Cloud applications.
  

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  

• Develop technical solutions using Oracle Fusion technologies and integration frameworks.
  

• Work with Fusion APIs, web services, REST/SOAP services, and data interfaces.
  

• Support technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  

• Troubleshoot integration and application issues and provide root-cause analysis.
  

Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  

• Develop integrations between Oracle Fusion and external/third-party applications.
  

• Work with REST, SOAP, FTP/SFTP, XML, JSON, and other integration technologies.
  

• Develop scheduled, event-driven, and application-based integrations.
  

• Configure connections, integrations, lookups, mappings, fault handling, and monitoring in OIC.
  

• Implement error handling, logging, retry mechanisms, and integration monitoring.
  

• Troubleshoot failed integrations and resolve production issues.
  

• Optimize existing integrations for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  

Customs / Trade Compliance

• Work on Customs and trade-related business processes within Oracle Fusion and integrated systems.
  

• Develop and support integrations related to customs declarations, import/export transactions, shipment information, and trade documentation.
  

• Understand the flow of customs-related data between Oracle Fusion, logistics systems, customs platforms, and third-party applications.
  

• Support interfaces involving customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders, and other external systems, where applicable.
  

• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to customs transactions and integrations.
  

• Collaborate with functional teams to understand customs requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  

ODS – Operational Data Store

• Design and develop data integrations between Oracle Fusion and ODS environments.
  

• Extract and transform data from Oracle Fusion and other source systems into ODS.
  

• Develop and support data interfaces, data mappings, and transformation logic.
  

• Work with SQL, data models, and data validation processes.
  

• Troubleshoot data discrepancies between Oracle Fusion, ODS, and downstream systems.
  

• Support reporting and analytics requirements using ODS data.
  

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across integrated systems.
  

Reporting & Data

• Develop and support technical reports and data extracts from Oracle Fusion.
  

• Work with BI Publisher, OTBI, SQL, and related Oracle reporting technologies.
  

• Develop data models, queries, and extracts based on business requirements.
  

• Support reconciliation and validation of data between Fusion, ODS, and external systems.
  

Production Support

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for Oracle Fusion integrations and applications.
  

• Monitor OIC integrations and proactively identify failures and performance issues.
  

• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
  

• Coordinate with functional, business, infrastructure, and third-party teams to resolve issues.
  

• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  

• Support releases, patches, testing, and production deployments.
  

Required Technical Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Oracle technical development/integration.
  

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  

• Strong experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  

• Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations.
  

• Strong knowledge of XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, XPath, and data transformation.
  

• Experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
  

• Experience with ODS / Operational Data Store environments.
  

• Experience with Oracle Fusion APIs and web services.
  

• Experience with SFTP/FTP and file-based integrations.
  

• Knowledge of BI Publisher and OTBI.
  

• Strong debugging and production-support skills.
  

• Experience with integration monitoring, error handling, and performance optimization.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Fusion SCM, Procurement, Order Management, Inventory, Logistics, or Financials.
  

• Experience with Customs / Global Trade Management / Trade Compliance processes.
  

• Knowledge of import/export and customs-related data flows.
  

• Experience integrating Oracle Fusion with third-party logistics, customs, warehouse, or transportation systems.
  

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud architecture and integration best practices.
  

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  

• Oracle certifications in Fusion, OIC, or related technologies would be an advantage.

8+ years of overall Oracle technical experience, with strong hands-on experience in:

Oracle Fusion + OIC + Customs/Trade Integrations + ODS + SQL + APIs + Production Support.
