About the Role & Team
The Order Management Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end order lifecycle, from order entry through fulfillment and invoicing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. This role acts as a key liaison between sales, finance, logistics, and customers to ensure a smooth and efficient order process, while identifying opportunities to improve workflows and resolve order-related issues.
What You’ll Do
- Process and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently, from receipt through delivery and invoicing
- Verify order details (pricing, terms, product/service codes, credit status) prior to processing
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, and GSOC/Fulfillment teams to resolve discrepancies or delays
- Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates to internal stakeholders and customers
- Maintain accurate records in the order management/ERP system
- Support month-end close activities related to order and revenue reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and relevant regulations
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 1 year of experience in order management, customer service, sales operations, or a related administrative role
- Proficiency with ERP or order management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365 or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a B2B or subscription/research services environment is a plus
