The OT Network & Systems Administrator III is an experienced technical contributor who leads the execution of complex OT networking and systems assignments. The role independently develops solutions for ambiguous technical problems, provides project-level technical leadership, reviews the work of others, and mentors less experienced administrators while supporting SCADA and data historization solutions in various environments.

What You'll Do

Complex Technical Delivery

  • Lead technical execution for complex OT network and systems assignments and serve as technical lead for small to medium-sized projects or defined workstreams.
  • Develop network designs and technical recommendations that address complex client requirements, cybersecurity considerations, system interfaces, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced firewall, switching, VPN, routing, server, virtualization, storage, and recovery solutions.
  • Lead resolution of difficult network integration, communications, and server issues and coordinate technical input across disciplines.
  • Evaluate project-specific cybersecurity risks and apply approved controls to address current and emerging threats.
  • Support project scoping, estimating, proposal development, and other business development activities within the area of expertise.

Technical Leadership and Quality

  • Review network designs, configurations, test plans, and technical documentation prepared by less experienced administrators.
  • Lead or facilitate factory acceptance testing, quality reviews, and technical issue resolution for assigned projects.
  • Mentor and support onboarding of less experienced administrators through coaching, knowledge sharing, and constructive review.
  • Recommend improvements to department tools, templates, technical procedures, and implementation practices.
  • Monitor relevant industry practices and technology developments and share practical implications with the team.
  • Build trusted client relationships and communicate technical risks, recommendations, and decisions clearly.

What We Expect from You

Required Qualifications and Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with progressive experience; associate degree with substantial network or systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking, firewall administration, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and secure OT network practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of physical and virtual server environments, virtualization, storage, recovery, and related infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex technical issues and lead defined project work.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor or provide technical guidance to less experienced professionals.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build responsive, positive relationships with clients and internal partners.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Attention to detail, sound time management, and accountability for quality and delivery commitments.
  • Ability to travel to client and project sites in the United States and Canada as required, subject to applicable work authorization and company travel standards.
  • Commitment to adopting evolving technology and AI tools responsibly to improve workflows, solve problems, and support continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant professional certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware, Linux, ISC2, or comparable credentials.
