This role is an opportunity to elevate your focus, blending your hands-on technical expertise with the autonomy to design and own the overarching strategic vision for your accounts.
SALARY: £29,800
This is a dynamic, dual-discipline role spanning both Paid Search and Paid Social. While your day-to-day focus will naturally flex depending on specific client needs, our goal is to align you with integrated accounts that run both channels, empowering you to build cohesive, cross-platform strategies from the ground up.
At Impression, we will trust you with real accountability. We want you to treat your accounts as your own business - ensuring budgets are perfectly paced, proactively spotting challenges before they become problems, and bringing fresh, strategic solutions to the table.
Crucially, we want you to be relentlessly curious. We don't just want you to keep things running smoothly; we expect you to challenge the status quo and push boundaries. Whether you are experimenting with a bold new campaign methodology or suggesting a smarter internal process for the team, we want you to innovate. You will have the full backing of our senior team to help you test, learn, and transform your best ideas into reality.
As you grow, master this level, and continue to challenge best practices, we will actively support your progression into leading highly complex Tier 1 accounts alongside our Senior Strategists.
The Role:
Account Leadership & Accountability
The Channel Owner: You will take pride in “owning” your accounts, developing the end-to-end service strategy and roadmap. You will define and own the primary KPIs, ensuring all activity is directly impactful to the client’s most important commercial goals.
Budget Mastery & Pacing: You will confidently manage large and complex budgets. We rely on you to proactively pace spend throughout the month, making agile adjustments to maximise ROI and provide accurate budget and revenue forecasts to your clients.
Proactive Problem Solving: You are the eyes and ears of your accounts. You will adapt your strategic roadmap in response to new challenges or opportunities, confidently communicating the rationale for these shifts to the client.
The Craft: Execution, Measurement & Experimentation
Testing & Innovation: You won't just follow the playbook; you will actively question it. You will design rigorous experiments, challenge legacy industry norms, and push the boundaries of what's possible on the platforms, seeking senior support to bring your boldest ideas to life.
Advanced Measurement: You will deepen your understanding of tracking, advising clients on the most appropriate attribution models for their business and designing rigorous experiments to measure the true incremental impact of your campaigns.
Performance Forecasting: You will draw up focused, channel-specific forecasts and confidently set hypotheses for short-term performance improvements.
Communication, Delegation & Teamwork
Process Innovation: Your curiosity shouldn't stop at client work. We want you to actively challenge our internal ways of working, proactively testing and suggesting improvements to our processes, tools, and daily operations to make the entire department better.
Commercial Translation: You will transform your platform insights into concrete strategic recommendations, presenting them persuasively and approaching your explanations from a position of deep industry understanding.
Delegation: You will hone your leadership skills by effectively delegating executional tasks to our talented Executives and Analysts. You will review their work, provide constructive feedback, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Managing Upwards: You are an exceptional communicator. You know exactly when to handle things independently and when to loop in your Senior Strategist to help validate a forecast, navigate a complex roadblock, or greenlight a new experiment.
What we're looking for:
Relentlessly Curious: You are never satisfied with "how it's always been done." You have a natural hunger to test, learn, challenge best practices, and innovate across both client strategy and agency operations.
Highly Accountable: You take pride in your work and feel a strong sense of ownership over the results you produce. If something goes wrong, you are the first to flag it and suggest a fix.
A Strategic Thinker: You are ready to move beyond simply "doing the tasks." You want to define the strategy, set the KPIs, and prove your value through incrementality and smart budget management.
A Proactive Communicator: You are clear, transparent, and confident in your communication, whether you are briefing a junior team member, updating a senior leader, or explaining a complex attribution model to a client.
Detail-Oriented: You have a sharp eye for detail, ensuring that the foundational elements of your accounts (feeds, tracking, pacing) are always watertight.
Flexible working at Impression without losing team connections
We love the focus of deep work at home, but we value team connections just as much. That’s why we practice a hybrid model with a minimum of one purposeful Pulse Day in the office per week to catch up and collaborate.
Please note, this role is a hybrid role, in line with our flexible working policy. We look to hire candidates who are no more than a 90 minute journey away from our office locations to ensure your personal time is protected and that you're able to travel into the office when necessary.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We're listening, and we're learning...
We’re committed to embracing diversity and promoting equal opportunities, both within our teams and through the services we provide. But we know we still have work to do. Improving fairness – in our agency and our industry – is something we’re passionate about, and we’re committed to having the conversations, making the changes and helping other businesses to do the same.
We pledge to promote equal opportunities and, as per the Equality Act 2010, will not tolerate discrimination on the grounds of: gender, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, race, colour, nationality, religion, age, disability, caring responsibilities or beliefs. We’ll also make every effort to represent different genders, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds and sexualities at the events, panels and discussions we run.
