Neighbors Bank Spring 2027 Internship
15 hours/week | Spring 2027 (January 20 – April 14)
At Neighbors Bank, marketing drives how we grow, connect with borrowers, and deliver on our mission to Enhance Lives.
That's why we're excited to continue our Digital Marketing Internship Program with a specialized opportunity focused on Paid Search and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising. This fully remote internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced marketers and contribute to real projects tied to a growing financial services brand.
This internship is designed for individuals who want more than surface-level exposure. You'll take on meaningful work, learn how marketing operates within a regulated industry, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
We're in building mode and are looking for someone who gets excited about taking a new idea and turning it into something that delivers measurable results. If you're curious about what makes an ad perform, why one campaign succeeds while another struggles, or how small optimizations can create a big impact, this opportunity may be for you.
The Internship at a Glance
This is a fully remote Spring 2027 internship designed to provide hands-on experience in paid search advertising, campaign optimization, performance analysis, and digital advertising strategy.
Timeline: January 20, 2027 – April 14, 2027
Duration: Approximately 12 weeks
Time Commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week
Location: Fully Remote
Structure: Work directly with our paid search specialist and collaborate with our broader marketing team.
Compensation: $20/hour
This internship is best suited for individuals who already have some professional or remote experience, understand the fundamentals of digital advertising, and are comfortable taking ownership of their work in a fast-moving environment.
You'll be trusted with real responsibilities, supported through mentorship, and expected to contribute in meaningful ways. If you're the first person to raise your hand when you see an opportunity to improve something, this experience is for you.
Your Internship Focus: Paid Search (PPC)
Great paid advertising is about more than writing an ad and hoping someone clicks. It's about understanding your audience, analyzing performance, testing new ideas, and continuously finding ways to improve results.
As our Paid Search (PPC) Intern, you'll work alongside our paid search specialist to support Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns that connect potential homebuyers with Neighbors Bank.
You'll gain practical experience in campaign management, keyword strategy, advertising performance, budget optimization, and conversion analysis while learning how paid advertising operates within a regulated financial services environment.
Rather than bouncing between unrelated marketing tasks, you'll focus on one core discipline, develop practical skills, and contribute to projects that can have a measurable impact on our business.
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day work will focus on supporting our paid search advertising program through research, analysis, campaign monitoring, optimization, and collaboration.
You may be responsible for:
Monitoring Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns, identifying performance changes, reviewing budget pacing, and flagging opportunities for optimization.
Conducting keyword research for paid search campaigns, including match-type analysis and negative keyword management.
Developing and refining advertising copy variations for A/B testing across search campaigns.
Preparing weekly performance reports using Google Ads and reporting tools to help the team evaluate campaign effectiveness.
Researching competitor paid search strategies, including targeted keywords, advertising messaging, and opportunities to differentiate Neighbors Bank.
Supporting campaign budget tracking and maintaining accurate pacing documentation.
Analyzing search engine results pages (SERPs), competitor positioning, and lead form performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Assisting our paid search specialist with Quality Score analysis and evaluating alignment between advertisements and landing pages.
Collaborating with our content and reporting teams to identify opportunities to align paid and organic search strategies.
Reviewing campaign performance data and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
This work is hands-on and outcome-focused. You'll be trusted to take ownership of tasks, ask questions when needed, and follow through while receiving guidance and feedback from experienced marketers.
Don't be surprised if you help test a new advertising strategy, identify an opportunity to outperform a competitor, or contribute to a campaign improvement that produces measurable results during your time at Neighbors Bank.
Potential Projects
Depending on business priorities and your interests, you may have the opportunity to contribute to projects such as:
Competitive Advertising Analysis: Develop a system for tracking competitor advertising copy, keyword strategies, and messaging within the USDA and FHA mortgage markets to identify opportunities for Neighbors Bank.
Performance Reporting: Create a streamlined weekly performance summary template that helps our marketing team communicate campaign results, trends, and opportunities to stakeholders.
Campaign Expansion & Testing: Help develop and evaluate Performance Max or Demand Gen test campaigns that explore additional advertising inventory beyond traditional search, with the goal of generating incremental qualified leads.
Conversion Rate Optimization: Contribute to landing page and lead form testing to improve engagement, lead quality, and downstream conversion performance.
Conversion Tracking & Measurement: Support the implementation and testing of additional conversion data sources throughout the marketing funnel to improve reporting accuracy and campaign optimization.
These are examples of the meaningful projects you could work on – not hypothetical assignments created simply to fill an internship schedule.

What We Expect From You
This internship is best suited for individuals who have some previous professional or remote internship experience and are comfortable working independently while taking ownership of their responsibilities.
You'll likely be a strong fit if:
You have previous professional work or internship experience, including experience working remotely.
You're familiar with basic Google Ads or paid search concepts. Maybe you've completed a course, managed a small advertising campaign, or studied digital advertising independently. You don't need to be an expert, but you shouldn't be starting from zero.
You're comfortable working with data, interpreting performance trends, and using spreadsheets to organize information and identify insights.
You're curious about what drives advertising performance and enjoy exploring opportunities to improve results.
You're comfortable learning and thoughtfully using AI-enabled tools for research, writing, analysis, and efficiency.
You communicate clearly, manage your time effectively, and follow through on commitments.
You're naturally curious, willing to ask thoughtful questions, and eager to continue learning (we call this a +1 mentality).
You take accountability seriously, even when it comes to small details.
You're comfortable working independently while collaborating with a fully remote team.
Financial services don't bore you, and helping people achieve homeownership genuinely matters to you.
College enrollment is not required. We're more interested in your experience, curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn than your academic status.
Tools You'll Use
You'll have opportunities to gain hands-on experience with tools used by our marketing team, including:
Paid Advertising & Campaign Management: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Ads Editor, and Microsoft Advertising Editor.
Performance Analytics & Reporting: Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) and Profound.
Project Management & Collaboration: Notion, Monday.com, Slack, and Google Drive.
AI & Research: Claude and ChatGPT.
You don't need prior experience with every platform. However, you should be comfortable learning new technology and applying it thoughtfully to real business challenges.
What You Can Expect From Us
We take this internship seriously – not just as temporary support, but as a development opportunity for future talent.
As a Paid Search (PPC) Intern at Neighbors Bank, you can expect:
Direct mentorship from our paid search specialist and opportunities to learn from experienced marketing professionals.
Hands-on experience working on one brand within a small, agile marketing team.
Exposure to the financial services and mortgage industry.
Opportunities to develop practical skills in campaign management, advertising optimization, and performance analysis.
Regular feedback and guidance to help you grow professionally and succeed in a remote environment.
Opportunities to participate in continued learning through our +1 Collective meetings.
Experience collaborating, sharing ideas, and contributing during our weekly Level 10 marketing meetings.
Our goal is for you to leave this internship with stronger skills, greater confidence, and a clearer understanding of how paid search advertising, campaign strategy, and performance optimization work together within a growing, regulated business.
Growth Opportunity
At the conclusion of this Spring 2027 internship program, high-performing interns may be considered for our summer internship cohort or for part-time or full-time opportunities, depending on mutual fit and business needs.
While there is no guaranteed placement, we view this internship as an opportunity to identify and develop future talent.
Interns who demonstrate strong ownership, curiosity, and follow-through will leave with meaningful experience – and, in some cases, a path forward with Neighbors Bank.
