Learn more about what it’s like to work with us here: politicalasylumlawyers.com/careers The Role You'll be intimately involved in developing asylum cases, handling both substantive and administrative tasks throughout client representation. Working closely with attorneys, you'll assist clients in developing case statements, advise on evidence gathering, write portions of legal briefs, and conduct country conditions research. You'll also serve as a key point of contact with clients, communicating daily via phone and email in both English and Spanish to move cases forward and ensure an excellent client experience. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Experience as a paralegal in an immigration law firm is preferred but not required - we'll teach you everything you need to know about U.S. asylum procedures and prioritize your professional development. This role is open to candidates located in Argentina . What You'll Do Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on the firm’s needs, but will include a combination of the following: Work closely with attorneys in serving clients and providing excellent advocacy Assist clients in developing statements to be used in their case Advise regarding evidence gathering Write portions of legal briefs Conduct country conditions research Work with attorneys in framing and preparing the case Serve as a point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys in engaging clients throughout the representation Proactively manage cases to ensure deadlines are met Compile and submit filings to immigration agencies Perform administrative tasks
