Paralegal

Simpalm Staffing is hiring, on behalf of a U.S. law firm, a remote Litigation Paralegal with hands-on Workers’ Compensation defense experience.

This role is ideal for a paralegal who understands the day-to-day demands of workers’ compensation litigation and can independently manage case files, deadlines, discovery, medical records, and attorney support.

What You’ll Do

• Support attorneys handling workers’ compensation defense matters
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and correspondence
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and litigation documents
• Track case deadlines, hearings, appointments, and other important dates
• Obtain, organize, and summarize medical and employment records
• Assist with discovery, including reviewing and organizing documents and responses
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties
• Monitor case status and ensure required actions are completed on time
• Update case management systems and maintain accurate case information
• Assist attorneys with trial and hearing preparation
• Perform legal research and other litigation support as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on Workers’ Compensation paralegal experience
• Experience supporting workers’ compensation defense attorneys
• Strong understanding of workers’ compensation litigation procedures
• Experience with pleadings, subpoenas, and legal correspondence
• Experience obtaining and reviewing medical records
• Strong organizational and deadline-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Experience with legal case management software is preferred
