About Us: We are a busy commercial signs and graphics company based right here in the East Valley. We handle everything from illuminated channel letters and monument signs to interior corporate branding. Behind every great sign installation is a well-navigated municipal approval process—and that’s where you come in!
The Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized Sign Permit Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. You will act as the crucial link between our design/project management team and various city building and zoning departments, ensuring our permit applications are accurate, submitted on time, and tracked through to approval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review sign design packages for code compliance (setbacks, heights, square footage, illumination rules).
- Prepare, complete, and submit municipal sign permit applications online.
- Communicate with city zoning and building departments to track application statuses and clear up any review comments.
- Coordinate with our internal team and project managers to gather necessary engineering documents, landlord approvals, and site plans.
- Keep our internal tracking sheets organized and up-to-date.
Designed for Flexibility
Are you a parent juggling school drop-offs, pick-ups, assemblies, and doctor appointments? We designed this role specifically for someone who wants meaningful, professional work without the trap of a rigid 9-to-5 schedule.
- Your Schedule: Work around your family's needs. We are more than willing to work with you on the hours and work schedule.
- Work From Home Available: This role offers major flexibility to work from your home office after a training / probationary period. (Occasional local drop-offs or municipal visits in the Chandler/East Valley area may be needed on a flexible basis, but much of the work is digital).
- No Micro-Management: We care about results and organization, not punching a clock.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong organizational skills and obsessive attention to detail (missing a single signature or setback measurement can stall a permit for weeks!).
- Comfortable navigating online city portals, PDFs, and municipal websites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with city plan reviewers and landlords.
- Previous experience in permit expediting, commercial real estate, zoning, or office administration is a huge plus, but we are more than willing to train the right candidate who has a sharp eye and a quick learning curve.
