About the Role As Partner Co-Marketing Lead, you'll drive customer acquisition and accelerate conversion through Shopify's partner network across the region. You’ll lead designing and executing co-marketing programs that empower partners to generate demand, build brand awareness, and deliver commercial results across D2C, B2B, retail, and cross-border segments. Beyond program design and execution, you'll play a critical role in lifting the marketing craft across the Partner Success team and partner network, making great marketing a shared capability. Specifically, success means: Launching co-marketing programs that generate a consistent flow of qualified leads and new opportunities through the partner network with impactful activations Visibly raising the marketing craft quality of the Partner Success team and partner network through coaching, enablement, collaboration and advisory support Increasing the number of partners effectively using co-marketing funds, with clear understanding of strategic purpose and measurable outcomes Growing marketing-attributable pipeline and expanding Shopify's reach in key segments Elevating partner visibility and reinforcing Shopify's brand across the regions you serve Providing actionable, data-informed reporting on campaign results and ROI to optimize future programs and inform the next bet Key Responsibilities Partner Co-Marketing Strategy: Plan, design, and manage scalable, partner-first marketing programs and campaigns through Shopify’s partner network, driving new customer acquisition, qualified pipeline generation, and market share growth. Leverage Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key partners to set shared priorities and execute coordinated strategies that accelerate acquisition and expand market presence. Partner Marketing Innovation & Incubation: Lead bespoke marketing motions with Shopify’s highest-growth partner opportunities and biggest co-marketing bets. Incubate emerging partners to uncover insights, test new approaches, and inform future scalable co-marketing programs. Take big swings on creative format, channel mix, and go-to-market strategy to deliver work that drives desirability and affinity for the Shopify brand while creating outsized commercial impact. Craft Excellence & Capability Uplift: Act as a marketing craft champion for the Partner Success team and partner network. Share frameworks, best practices, and creative thinking that raise the quality of marketing across the ecosystem. Coach partners and internal colleagues to develop stronger strategic instincts, better campaign thinking, and more effective storytelling, multiplying impact by building capability, not by doing it yourself. Lead Generation & Market Impact: Drive a consistent flow of qualified leads through the partner network by enabling always-on and seasonal campaigns that partners own and run. Design programs with a strong halo effect, building Shopify's brand awareness and market credibility as a by-product of partner activity. Partner Portfolio Management & Advisory: Work closely with Partner Success Managers to identify and prioritize marketing opportunities across their partner portfolios. Act as a marketing advisor to the Partner Success team, equipping them with the frameworks, tools, and thinking to have stronger marketing conversations with their partners, and helping them identify which partners have the potential and readiness to activate. Internal & External Collaboration: Drive cross-functional, cross-discipline, and stakeholder coordination across Partner Success, Direct Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Brand, as well as external agencies and partners. Own the creative aim and the ultimate execution quality of any external agency engagements. Localization & Cultural Adaptation: Ensure all campaigns, assets, and events are appropriately localized for the markets you serve, including language, channel preference, customer messaging, and cultural nuance. Translate brand and product principles into relevant brand narratives for each market. Partner Enablement: Create toolkits and materials for onboarding, training, and marketing activation. Drive effective use of co-marketing funds to support partner campaigns and educate partners on best practices to maximize engagement and results. Performance Analytics: Track and analyze the effectiveness of campaigns, lead generation, ROI, and impact metrics. Build data-informed assumptions, effectively predict and assess the impact of your work, and report insights that optimize future programs. Budget & Project Management: Manage the regional partner marketing budget, forecast costs, maintain performance tracking, and ensure timely, on-budget campaign delivery. Set a fast pace for the team through ruthless prioritization. Communication & Storytelling: Demonstrate exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Produce and deliver presentations, campaign reports, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders and partner audiences. Communicate the impact and second-order effects of your work with conviction. Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in partner marketing, channel marketing, or co-marketing roles, ideally in ecommerce, tech, or SaaS environments, with a focus on enabling and activating partners rather than direct execution Demonstrated ability to design partner marketing programs and playbooks that equip partners to run effective campaigns independently Proven track record of generating partner-driven demand, pipeline growth, and revenue outcomes through the partner network Experience managing a portfolio of partners or clients, setting priorities, coaching marketing capabilities, and holding partners accountable to outcomes A genuine passion for building others' marketing craft, with a track record of uplifting partner or team marketing capabilities at scale Strong influencing and advisory skills, able to motivate partners to invest in and execute marketing even without direct authority Analytical mindset with expertise in partner campaign measurement, data analysis, and budget management. Fluency in marketing channel strategy and KPIs Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, distributed environment Comfortable with remote collaboration and willing to travel when needed for partner engagements, events, and strategic partner moments Demonstrated ability to challenge orthodoxy and apply first-principles thinking to partner marketing problems Excellent communicator in Mandarin and English, with confidence presenting to internal teams, partners, and leadership. Nice to Have Experience in a high-growth, global tech or SaaS company Existing network within Asia's agency, SI, or tech partner ecosystem, particularly in Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Greater China Familiarity with Shopify or similar commerce/SaaS platforms Proficiency in the Mandarin and Cantonese language to be able to communicate with customers within the Greater China Region
