Role Description
This is a C-Suite/Partner-level part-time remote-flexible engagement with the intent to scale into a full-time Partner role within Entropy.
The role involves overseeing financial planning, analysis, and structuring across venture portfolios, M&A transactions, and special purpose vehicles (SPVs) in multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining financial models, preparing investment memos, monitoring portfolio performance, and supporting transaction execution from deal evaluation through closing.
- Coordinate with founders, investors, and policy stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting, risk assessment, and compliance in complex market environments.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making on capital allocation, restructuring opportunities, and new venture initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance & Compliance, including experience with venture portfolios, M&A transactions, and SPV structures. You understand the tools you have to work with.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for financial modeling, scenario analysis, and assessing unit economics and transaction outcomes. You understand the venture math.
- Experience in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting, covering budgeting, forecasting, dashboards, and investor-ready documentation. You understand the efficient processes and controls.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present insights to leadership, and engage with external stakeholders. You understand operations and relationship management.
- Creative problem-solving skills for operating in complex or innovative environments. You understand the role is to enable business, not just regulate them.
Ideal Profile
- 7-10 years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategic finance, preferably with exposure to emerging or complex markets.
- Comfort working remotely across time zones with high ownership, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CA) are a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments, cross-border structuring, and policy-related financial considerations is beneficial.
- Emerging market and emerging industry experience preferred, must know how to get things done in unstructured environments.
