Partner with Portable Book of Business, All Practice Areas

About the Role

Join a full-service law firm expanding its New Jersey and New York practices. The role is open to experienced partners across practice areas, with commercial and transactional real estate as a priority, and offers a platform for growing client relationships and collaborating across departments.

What You'll Do

• Bring and grow a portable book of business through a full-service platform with cross-selling opportunities.

• Develop and execute a business development plan with marketing support.

• Advise clients with a business-oriented approach, focusing on strategic guidance, efficiency, and value.

• Mentor and train associates and counsel working on your matters.

• Real estate partners with substantial books may have the opportunity to take on department leadership as senior leadership transitions.

What We're Looking For

• Eight to 15 years of experience as a partner.

• A portable book of business with at least $500,000 in documented originations over the past two to three years, based on your own clients rather than relationship credit.

• Experience in New Jersey commercial or transactional real estate; real estate and land use partners with a New York focus are also of interest.

• A client base that clears conflicts, a stable career history, and rates suited to a New Jersey platform.

• A collegial, collaborative approach to negotiations, billing, and client relationships.

• New York-based candidates working as associates or counsel should have an accompanying partner's book; New York-focused real estate partners with a book of $1 million or more are of particular interest.

• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $250,000 to $500,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
