About Us:

At Fitness Passport, we are driven by a clear purpose — to make fitness more accessible, so more people can lead active and healthier lives. Established in 2006, we’re a corporate health and fitness program partnering with the public sector, corporate employers, and leading fitness facilities across New Zealand and Australia, providing members with access to a wide range of gyms and wellness resources.

As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, Fitness Passport is executing an ambitious strategy while keeping our member experience a top priority.

The Role:

Fitness Passport gives employees affordable access to a network of gyms, pools and fitness facilities through their workplace. We're growing across Aotearoa, and we're looking for a curious, resilient and driven Partnership Development Representative to help us get there.

This is brand new role in our small but mighty NZ team, with real room to grow. You'll be the first point of contact for employers and fitness facilities who could benefit from Fitness Passport. Our model is B2B2C - revenue only arrives once employees sign up, so the quality of what you qualify matters more than raw meeting volume. That means qualifying on where an employer's people live and work, not just headcount, industry and title. Additionally, you identify potential fitness facilities and manage inbound leads to support the acquisition of new facility partnerships that enhance the New Zealand programme offering.

What you'll do:

  • Finding the right organisations to talk to. You'll research and build target lists of employers that fit our ideal customer profile, looking beyond size and industry to where their people actually live and work.
  • Starting great conversations. Through calls, personalised emails and LinkedIn, you'll reach HR, People & Culture, Wellbeing and Finance leaders, pitch what we do and book discovery meetings for our NZ Account Executive.
  • Qualifying opportunities properly. Because our revenue comes when employees sign up, quality matters more than volume. You'll uncover each employer's wellbeing priorities and decision process, and hand over opportunities with clear notes.
  • Growing our facility network. You'll identify gyms and pools in regions where we need more coverage, reach out to owners and managers, and help move new facility partnerships forward.
  • Following up on inbound leads, keeping Salesforce accurate, and sharing what you hear from the market with our Marketing, Network and Commercial teams.

About You:

  • A passion for fitness and wellbeing.
  • Confidence on the phone and in writing, including with business owners and senior stakeholders.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude. You know "no" is part of the job and you keep going.
  • A genuine love of learning, and the openness to take feedback and act on it.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to balance high activity with quality.
  • Curious and research-minded, with the ability to quickly work out whether an employer is a good fit.
  • Experience in the fitness industry, working with gym owners and facility managers is desired
  • Comfort with technology and new tools. CRM experience (ideally Salesforce) is a bonus.
  • Up to 2 years' experience in sales, business development or a customer-facing role. SDR/BDR experience, or experience in the fitness industry, HR, employee benefits or government sales, would be great but isn't essential.

What You’ll Love:

We’re proud of our culture, and even prouder of the people who make it what it is.
