Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) is seeking an organised, proactive and motivated Partnerships & Communications Associate to support the development and stewardship of strategic partnerships while strengthening PLH’s external communications.


Position Type: 37.5 hours per week (flexible arrangements considered)

Salary: £38,588-£49,350 base salary, plus benefits

About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Partnerships and Communications Associate will support the development and stewardship of strategic partnerships while strengthening PLH’s external communications. This role sits at the intersection of relationship management, fundraising support, and storytelling - helping translate PLH’s impact into compelling narratives, ensuring partners are effectively engaged, while strengthening PLH’s visibility.


Responsibilities

Partnerships Support

  • Support the identification, research, and tracking of prospective donors and partners (foundations, multilaterals, corporates, and NGOs)
  • Support with proposal development
  • Assist in the preparation of partnership materials, including concept notes, pitch decks, and donor briefings
  • Coordinate partner communications, including updates, reports, and follow-ups
  • Maintain and update partnership pipelines and CRM systems by tracking of funding opportunities, deadlines, and submission processes
  • Support the organisation of partner meetings, events, and convenings


Communications and Content

  • Develop and design high-quality written content, including:
  • Donor communications and reports
  • Case studies and impact stories
  • Website and newsletter content
  • Slide decks and annual reports
  • Develop a social media strategy and draft and schedule social media content aligned with organisational priorities
  • Support the management and updates for PLH’s website and digital platforms
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and branding across materials through:
  • maintaining the PLH branding toolbox and a suite of branded materials
  • supporting the PLH team to use PLH branding and branded materials effectively


Strategic Communications

  • Support the implementation of PLH’s communications strategy
  • Translate technical and research content into accessible, compelling narratives and impact briefs
  • Contribute to campaigns that elevate PLH’s visibility and influence
  • Track and report on communications performance (e.g. engagement, reach) and use insights to improve content and targeting


Cross-Team Coordination

  • Work closely with research, programme, and leadership teams to gather content and insights
  • Support alignment between partnerships, fundraising, and communications efforts
  • Ensure timely delivery of communications and reporting outputs linked to grants and partnerships


Essential criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in partnerships, fundraising, communications, or a related role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly
  • Experience of designing high-quality communications materials using Canva (or similar design tools)
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience supporting donor engagement or external partnerships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Preferred criteria:

  • Experience working in a remote or distributed organisation.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Monday.com, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Familiarity with government systems, international development, and/or evidence-based social interventions
