Patient Registration Specialist

Role Description The Patient Registration Specialist is a part-time, remote role focused on supporting healthcare organizations featured on Daily Europe Jobs. In this position, the specialist accurately collects and enters patient demographic and insurance information into registration systems. Daily tasks include verifying eligibility and coverage, confirming appointments, and ensuring that medical records are complete and up to date. The role also involves responding to patient inquiries, explaining registration procedures, and collaborating with clinical and billing teams to resolve discrepancies. The specialist is expected to maintain confidentiality, follow organizational guidelines, and provide a professional, supportive experience to every patient.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Patient Registration skills, including accurate data entry, appointment scheduling, and record maintenance.
• Candidates should possess Insurance Verification skills to confirm coverage, eligibility, and benefits with payers or insurance portals.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to interpret documentation, understand diagnoses, and support correct data capture.
• Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills to handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Candidates should possess a commitment to Patient Care, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and attention to privacy and confidentiality.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in healthcare or medical office settings, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further education or training in healthcare administration, medical billing, or related fields is an advantage.
