Your Role...

As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day delivery of Morlen Health programs by serving as a primary non-clinical point of contact for patients throughout their program experience. You will coordinate patient communication, scheduling, referral follow-up, documentation, digital onboarding, and ongoing patient tracking to ensure a seamless, personalized, and well-coordinated experience.

Working closely with clinical team members, referring offices, operations, and technology partners, you will help patients navigate administrative requirements, resolve barriers to participation, and maintain timely communication and follow-through. You will support an exceptional patient experience through proactive coordination, accurate documentation, and consistent ownership of patient service activities.

This is a full-time, remote position.

In This Role, You Will...

  • Serve as a primary non-clinical point of contact for patients, responding to inquiries, providing program information, coordinating next steps, and ensuring timely follow-through on patient needs.

  • Coordinate patient scheduling for virtual pulmonary rehabilitation services, communicate appointment information and changes, and proactively address scheduling barriers.

  • Monitor and actively manage patient waitlists to facilitate timely access to program services.

  • Manage referral follow-up activities with referring provider offices, obtaining outstanding administrative information and coordinating with internal teams to support timely patient onboarding.

  • Accurately document patient interactions, administrative activities, and follow-up actions in the electronic health record (EHR) and other approved systems.

  • Track patient progress throughout program participation, monitoring outstanding requirements, incomplete actions, and administrative barriers to ensure continuity of service.

  • Guide patients through digital onboarding, including providing basic assistance with Zoom, patient-facing applications, and other approved virtual care technologies.

  • Identify and address routine patient service, scheduling, documentation, and technology issues within the scope of the role, escalating clinical or complex operational concerns as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with clinical, operations, IT, and other internal partners to coordinate patient needs, maintain effective communication, and ensure complete and timely handoffs.

  • Maintain dependable availability, responsiveness, and accountability during scheduled working hours while identifying opportunities to improve patient experiences, administrative processes, and operational workflows.

What You Need to Be Successful...

  • 3–5 years of experience in patient access, care coordination, healthcare operations, or a related patient-facing healthcare environment.

  • Experience supporting patient scheduling, referral coordination, patient onboarding, and related healthcare administrative workflows, including familiarity with prior authorization processes.

  • Proficiency using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient documentation, track activities, and manage follow-up requirements in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards.

  • A strong patient-first mindset, with a demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, responsive, and personalized service while anticipating patient needs and proactively addressing barriers to care.

  • Experience working with virtual communication tools, patient-facing digital applications, and web-based healthcare systems, with the ability to provide basic technology support; experience in telehealth, virtual care, or outpatient services is highly valued.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, clinical teams, referring providers, and operational partners.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency, with the ability to independently manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and adapt quickly to evolving processes, shifting priorities, and the demands of a fast-moving startup environment.

  • Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. High school diploma or GED required.

  • American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred.
