Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

Nth Degree runs payroll for a workforce most companies never see: union and non-union, hourly and salaried, across multiple states and pay schedules. If you know your way around union benefit fund remittances, multi-state payroll tax notices, and payroll reconciliations—and you like solving the puzzle—this role was built for you.

As our Payroll Analyst, you’ll own union benefit administration and payroll tax compliance and keep our payroll-related general ledger accounts clean. You’ll report to the Manager of Payroll and work closely with Finance, HR, and our ADP partners.

At Nth Degree, we don’t merely manage trade shows, exhibits, and events. We craft experiences that help build stronger brands—and the people behind the scenes make that possible.

The Details

  • Salary: $75,000–$85,000
  • Location: Hybrid, based at our corporate office in Duluth, GA (three days per week in office)
  • Reports to: Director of Payroll

What You’ll Do

  • Union benefits: Calculate, reconcile, and remit contributions and reports to multiple union (Taft-Hartley) benefit funds.
  • Collective bargaining agreements: Interpret CBAs to ensure accurate union deductions, employer contributions, and fund reporting.
  • Payroll tax compliance: Partner with ADP to reconcile tax liabilities, review filings, and research and resolve federal, state, and local agency notices.
  • Payroll accounting: Reconcile payroll-related GL accounts (wages, taxes, benefit deductions, employer contributions) and prepare journal entries.
  • Quarter- and year-end: Support W-2 reconciliations, tax reporting, and annual audits.
  • Systems and reporting: Use ADP Workforce Now to maintain payroll records, build reports, and research discrepancies.
  • Go-to resource: Answer payroll questions from employees, union representatives, Finance, HR, and government agencies.
  • Continuous improvement: Find ways to tighten internal controls and make payroll processes faster and more accurate.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience (as a payroll analyst, specialist, administrator, or accountant), including reconciliations and tax compliance.
  • Experience with union payroll—calculating and reporting benefit fund contributions and working from collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience reconciling payroll taxes and resolving agency notices in a multi-state environment.
  • Working knowledge of payroll accounting, including GL reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) for reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
  • A detail-oriented, deadline-driven approach and the ability to juggle multiple payrolls and filing deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and sound discretion with confidential employee and financial information.

Nice to Have

  • ADP Workforce Now experience (strongly preferred—experience with UKG, Paylocity, Paycom, Workday, or a similar platform transfers well).
  • Experience with multiple union agreements and benefit funds.
  • Payroll experience for a large, multi-state workforce.
  • CPP or FPC payroll certification.
