Your Role: Essential, Rewarding, Impactful The Payroll and HRIS Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll, managing the HRIS system, and maintaining high levels of data integrity. This role includes upkeep of employee records, support to HR staff, and exceptional customer service when addressing and working on any payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, or leaders. This is a dual role that combines hands-on payroll processing with active ownership of the HRIS platform. On the HRIS side, the coordinator should be comfortable building out operational workflows and automation, taking on system build-out needs, and applying a high level of curiosity about how different systems work together. What You'll Do: Process bi-weekly payroll on time and accurately, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, taxes, and deductions. Develop systems for processing payroll transactions. Lead year end processes and partner with benefits and finance on ensuring deadlines and timelines are met. Promptly return employee calls, emails and inquiries regarding payroll. Create and implement strong security administration policies and protocols for access to HRIS Maintain the HRIS software, including employee records, job details, compensation, benefits, and performance. Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality. Generate reports and dashboards using HRIS data. Develop strong partnership with HRIS vendor and ensure continued improved utilization of the data and capabilities Continually research new enhancements and lead communications to stakeholders regarding any changes Provide basic support to HRIS users, including troubleshooting issues and answering questions. Assist HR staff with system-related inquiries. Collaborate with the HR and Finance Department to test and implement system enhancements, deployments, and regular system updates. What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience A minimum of 3 years’ experience running a bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees. Experience in HRIS systems such as Paycor, ADP, Paylocity, UKG. Experience with Paycor is a plus. Preferred experience in leading the full utilization of an HRIS system with HR team and managers. If no direct experience, the aptitude for leadership, energy and ability to teach peers on technology. Strong attention to detail with the ability to audit. Experience with providing information to outside auditors Ability to project manage time and responsibilities Customer service focused on working with employees, managers and leaders on any payroll issues. Sense of urgency, ability to prioritize customer needs quickly. Background processing payroll for multi-shift, multi-time zoned, and or remote staff preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create and run reports as required for compliance or team needs. Must have high integrity, able to resolve problems and provide excellent customer service. Knowledge of documentation and reporting tools, including use of Microsoft 365 and MS Teams.
