Title: HR Operations Contractor - Payroll & Benefits

Location: Remote (DFW Area Preferred - Open to Candidates Across Texas)

Duration: Contract

Compensation: $45.00 - $50.00/hour W2

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits professional with hands-on Workday Payroll and Workday Benefits experience. This is an operational role focused on payroll auditing, payroll validation, benefits administration, reconciliations, and providing outstanding internal customer support. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, proactively identify payroll issues before processing, and partner closely with HR leadership and payroll vendors.

• Audit payroll inputs and review payroll for accuracy prior to processing.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, retroactive pay adjustments, and payroll exceptions.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and validate payroll results.
• Coordinate payroll processing with OneSource Virtual (OSV) or other payroll vendors.
• Review and approve employee benefit life events.
• Audit benefit elections, deductions, and investigate carrier feed issues.
• Support multi-state payroll operations.
• Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Analyze payroll data using Excel and prepare reconciliation reports.
• Partner with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll and benefits processes.

• 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Hands-on Workday Payroll experience required.
• Hands-on Workday Benefits experience required.
• Strong payroll auditing and reconciliation experience.
• Experience reviewing payroll prior to submission and resolving discrepancies.
• Experience coordinating payroll processing with an external payroll provider (OSV experience is a plus).
• Experience administering employee benefit life events.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience supporting multi-state payroll.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
