General Description:

The Payroll Manager is responsible for the highest quality service throughout our payroll teams while promoting the core values of caring, expertise and service.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as available resource expert for Manager’s and other office talent regarding payroll, value calculator, travel status questions, etc.
  • Prepare and submit ACH transfers and wires
  • Working knowledge of Dayforce and Bullhorn preferred
  • Must have tax experience and knowledge
  • Review payroll payments, log check numbers
  • Manage completion of Combined Accountability Scorecard, weekly
  • Responsible for new garnishment orders, gift card entries and “Our Rewards” tax benefits for field talent
  • Printing and review of payroll checks and direct deposits
  • Maintaining weekly tax report by state
  • Responsible for Helping Hands bonus payouts
  • Processing adjustments
  • Provide pre-post revenue information to senior leadership
  • Communicates root cause of fluctuations in revenue and assist FP&A with weekly analysis
  • Conduct weekly one to ones, continuous evaluations of team members, including annual evaluations and coaching plans
  • Manage team workflow/volume and participation in hiring team members
  • Assist revenue managers with health care professional's discussions around pay issues
  • Escalate potential fraud issues to Division Manager(s) and Quality Assurance
  • Provide backup and coordinate with payroll compliance and A/R Managers
  • Evaluate processes for improvement and implement more efficient practices as needed with collaboration of other managers.
  • Help to create an environment of high morale, motivation and teamwork
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Talents:

  • Associate’s Degree or 5 years’ experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and rules of composition
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Ability to manage work flow and volume
  • Ability to mentor, coach, motivate and build assigned team/employees
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers and software systems including Microsoft Office products and the Internet
  • Must be able to become an expert in pay bill systems and payroll law
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must have change leadership experience and strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods of sitting, typing and use of the phone and computer
  • Must successfully complete onboarding training/tutorials and attend future webcasts/trainings as required
