Payroll Manager

Barden is delighted to partner with a global technology company in Cork as they hire a Europe Payroll Manager. This is a permanent role leading payroll across Europe, at a time when the business is embarking on exciting projects.

You will lead a small, experienced team in Cork, manage the providers that run payroll across the region, and play a key part in payroll projects. This role is hybrid with two days onsite.

“We are looking for someone who knows payroll inside out, has EU or international payroll experience and wants to help shape how it runs globally. If you enjoy improving processes and are open to using new tools, including AI, you will have real influence here.”

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Lead accurate, compliant payroll across Europe through external providers.
• Manage and develop a small, experienced payroll team in Cork.
• Play a key part in consolidating payroll providers globally.
• Manage provider performance, SLAs, and fees.
• Own payroll controls and audit readiness, including SOX.
• Lead automation and process improvement, with support to adopt AI tools.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• Experience managing payroll across several European countries.
• A strong track record managing outsourced payroll providers.
• Experience leading and developing a payroll team.
• Experience of automation or payroll system change.
• A good understanding of payroll controls and SOX.
• Open to new ways of working and keen to help a global function grow.
