Some days you'll be deep in legislation, system reviews or enhancements, while others will involve working through stakeholder queries and team challenges. What You'll Be Doing
- Providing advice and guidance on payroll matters, resolving complex enquiries and supporting the business with payroll-related questions.
- Reviewing payroll processes, identifying improvements and helping implement more efficient ways of working.
- Supporting payroll compliance across legislation, awards, superannuation and tax requirements.
- Working with payroll systems, including iChris, to support upgrades, enhancements, testing and ongoing system effectiveness.
- Partnering with Finance, People & Culture and other stakeholders to investigate issues, implement changes and improve service delivery.
- Assisting with payroll processing and operational tasks when required, while balancing project and improvement work.
What Great Looks Like
- You bring 5+ years of payroll experience and a strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, superannuation and compliance requirements.
- You've worked across end-to-end payroll and enjoy being the person others turn to for guidance when a payroll issue isn't straightforward.
- You take initiative, looking for ways to improve processes, systems and controls rather than waiting for problems to arise.
- You're comfortable balancing day-to-day priorities with project-based work and can adapt when the workload shifts.
- You build strong relationships across teams and can explain complex payroll matters in a practical, easy-to-understand way.
