Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a large, fast-paced organisation.
This newly created position will join an established payroll team and support a complex payroll and payroll transformation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong end-to-end payroll knowledge with analytical and problem-solving capability.

The Opportunity
This is a broad, hands-on payroll position where you’ll go beyond simply producing reports. You’ll investigate complex payroll matters, analyse discrepancies, identify root causes and work with stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes.
You’ll also support reconciliations, payroll compliance, system changes, testing and process improvements using SAP SuccessFactors while partnering closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse payroll data and investigate complex payroll issues, discrepancies and exceptions
• Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, audit checks and data validation
• Identify root causes of payroll issues and drive effective resolutions
• Review payroll inputs, calculations and outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Act as an escalation point for complex payroll queries and adjustments
• Support overpayments, shortfalls, off-cycle payments and payroll exceptions
• Support payroll system changes, testing, enhancements and data validation
• Assist with legislative, Award and Enterprise Agreement changes

About You

• 3+ years’ experience across end-to-end payroll within a large or complex environment
• Must have strong exposure to SAP SuccessFactors Payroll
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance and legislation
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability within payroll
• Experience within a large, fast-paced and high-volume payroll environment
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including advanced formulas
• Experience across multiple Payroll, HRIS and Time & Attendance systems
• Experience with payroll transformation, process improvement, system changes or testing will be advantageous
