Position Overview:

As a People Business Partner at Fifth and Harrison HR Consulting, you will serve as a trusted HR advisor and consultant to a diverse range of clients, including startups, small, and mid-sized businesses. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique HR needs and provide customized solutions that enhance employee engagement, ensure compliance, and drive organizational success. Contracts can be short or long-term, with hours that vary from part-time to full-time based on your availability and the client’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary HR contact and advisor for assigned clients, providing expert guidance on HR-related matters.

• Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the client’s business goals and drive employee engagement.

• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

• Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations, providing clients with up-to-date information and best practices.

• Assist with talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and development.

• Support clients in leadership development initiatives to build and strengthen their leadership teams.

• Manage HR projects, including system implementations and process improvements, to enhance the efficiency of the client’s HR function.

• Collaborate with other People Business Partners and HR professionals within the firm to share insights and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Consultant, or in a similar HR role, preferably within startups, small, or mid-sized businesses.

• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.

• Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR-related software is a plus.

• Availability during standard business hours to meet client needs.

• Requirement: All consultants are required to carry their own liability insurance.
