Our purpose
Every year, billions of clothing items are produced but never sold. Much of this unworn fashion ends up in landfills – a massive waste of creativity, craftsmanship, resources, and investment. We're here to change that. As a purpose-led company, we use technology to help fashion brands give every item a chance to be worn. And we’re proud to be a certified B Corp – recognized for meeting high standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability.

How we work
We’re a purpose-driven scale-up, based in Amsterdam and active across Europe, with a diverse and international team. Our mission is simple: sell unsold inventory. Otrium values a healthy work-life balance. We have adopted a flexible hybrid way of working, encouraging our team members to come to our open, spacious, plant-filled Amsterdam HQ at the waterside of Houthavens at least twice a week. Full-time office presence is welcomed, and you’re empowered to organise your schedule in a way that works for you and the team.

Your impact
  • As our People & Culture Intern, you'll be at the heart of what makes Otrium a great place to work. From the moment a new colleague walks through the door, you'll have helped shape their experience!
  • You'll play a hands-on role in bringing our team culture to life, supporting events and engagement initiatives that keep our diverse, international team connected and energised.
  • Through your work in recruitment, you'll help us find the next wave of passionate people who want to make fashion more sustainable — directly contributing to the growth of our mission-driven team.
  • You'll gain real exposure to how a purpose-led, B Corp-certified scale-up runs its people operations, working with live data, real processes, and a team that genuinely cares about doing things right.
  • Studying a relevant degree for the internship.
  • Available from 15/02/2026 for at least 6 months for 32 - 40 hours per week.
  • Living within a 1-hour one-way commute from our Houthavens office (ideally), since we ask you to come to the office at least 2 days a week.
  • At the risk of stating the obvious: being a people person! (hard requirement)
  • Flexible, curious, open-to-learn, tech-savvy, open for a challenge... with a great sense of humour!
  • Fluent in English (other languages are a plus!)
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling and taking screening interviews.
  • Support onboarding processes for new employees, ensuring a great start at Otrium.
  • Help organise and facilitate employee engagement activities and events with our People Experience Manager.
  • Contribute to internal communications regarding HR policies, updates and company initiatives.
  • Help ensure squeaky clean People data in our HR system.
  • Assist with pulling reports and conducting people operations admin via our HR system.
  • Research, kickstart and/or be part of projects around AI opportunities for our People operations.
  • Keep our office running smoothly by managing supplies, coordinating with vendors, and helping create a welcoming, well-organised space our team loves coming to.
  • 550 Euros per month internship allowance (based on full time).
  • Travel cost reimbursement (if more than 10km away from the office).
  • One holiday day per month - plus a day off on your birthday!
  • Tasty office lunches and barista-style coffees in our light, spacious office on the waterside in Houthavens.
  • Mac laptop, handy tech and company merch.
  • Employee discounts on all Otrium products!
