About Gallagher
Our purpose at Gallagher is Protect what matters most — and we live it every day. Our technology is used in more than 160 countries, protecting everything from government sites and global HQs to wildlife parks, dairy farms, palaces and beyond.
Founded in 1938, we’re a privately owned technology company headquartered in Hamilton, New Zealand. With more than 1,300 people globally, we design and manufacture world-class technology right here in NZ, taking Kiwi innovation to the world.
We combine the scale and expertise of a global business with the agility and spirit of a pioneering technology company. And behind it all is a team of people who make it happen.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a People Enablement Coordinator to join our People Enablement team on a three-month fixed-term contract. If you’re organised, thrive on getting the details right and enjoy helping people, this is your chance to jump in, make an impact and support a great employee experience across our global business.
You’ll play a key role in keeping our people processes running smoothly, from preparing employment documentation and coordinating onboarding to helping our Talent Acquisition team keep recruitment moving. No two days will necessarily look the same, so you’ll need to be comfortable switching between priorities, responding to requests and pitching in wherever you’re needed.
You'll be responsible for
Getting the paperwork right: Preparing and distributing offers, Individual Employment Agreements, contract variations and other employment-related documentation.
Creating a smooth start: Coordinating onboarding through our HRIS platform, HiBob, and ensuring new starter documentation is complete and compliant.
Keeping our records in shape: Maintaining accurate employee information, supporting data integrity and helping ensure our employment documentation meets compliance requirements.
Making things happen: Contributing to compliance projects and picking up general people administration and ad-hoc tasks as priorities arise.
What you’ll bring
You’re someone who takes pride in doing things well. You’re organised, detail-focused and dependable, with the ability to stay calm and professional when priorities shift or requests come in thick and fast. You understand that behind every piece of paperwork is a person, and you care about getting their experience right.
You'll also bring:
Experience in HR, people administration or employee services.
A good understanding of HR fundamentals and the importance of accurate, compliant employment documentation.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence working with HR systems, with experience using HiBob an advantage.
A service-focused, collaborative approach and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed.
An HR qualification or relevant certification would be advantageous.
This is a hands-on role in our busy, open-plan Hamilton office. You’ll enjoy working closely with others, being responsive to stakeholder needs and working core hours of 8.30am–5pm, with some flexibility when required.
What’s in it for you?
At Gallagher, you’ll be part of a team that looks out for each other and takes pride in making a difference. Even in a short-term role, you’ll have the opportunity to build relationships, broaden your experience and contribute to the way we support our people.
You’ll also enjoy a great range of benefits, including:
Free on-site parking.
Subsidised on-site team member café.
Employee discount platform.
Hybrid working, with the option of up to two days working from home, subject to role requirements.
Discounts on Chiefs and Chiefs Manawa games and merchandise.
Your next step starts here
Ready to jump in and make a difference? If you’re a people-focused coordinator who loves keeping things organised, supporting others and making the everyday run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
Send us your CV and a short cover letter outlining your interest and relevant experience.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and the role may be filled before the closing date.
