TicketSwap is on a mission to be the experience marketplace every fan loves. By bringing fans and experiences together on our marketplace, we enable fans to go to more events they love and support organisers in building lasting success. Today, more than 20 million fans across 42 countries use TicketSwap.

Behind that marketplace is an international team of more than 200 people, and as we grow, our People operations need to grow with us. We’re looking for a People Operations & Automation Specialist who can keep our day-to-day People operations running smoothly while finding smarter ways to work.

If you enjoy creating structure, helping colleagues and asking “could we make this simpler?”, you’ll have plenty to get stuck into here.

What you’ll do

You’ll combine hands-on People Operations with process improvement and automation. You’ll own important parts of the employee lifecycle, making sure the basics are done accurately and reliably, while looking for opportunities to remove repetitive work and build more scalable processes.

The team you’ll join is the following: Director of People, People Business Partners, Office Manager, System Administrator and Corporate Recruiter.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own day-to-day People operations across the employee lifecycle, including preboarding, onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, HR documentation, visa requests and extensions, and employee data.

  • Be a helpful first point of contact for colleagues with questions about People policies, benefits, leave, payroll and other employment-related topics.

  • Maintain accurate employee information in Personio and our other People systems, with a strong focus on data quality, privacy and GDPR compliance.

  • Support the monthly payroll process together with our external payroll partner, making sure changes are processed accurately and on time.

  • Map and improve our People processes, using automation and better connections between systems such as Personio, our ATS and Notion to reduce manual work, simplify workflows and improve data consistency.

  • Create and improve templates, dashboards, reporting and documentation so information is easier to find and our operations are more transparent.

  • Monitor existing automations and workflows, fixing issues and improving them as our organisation and processes evolve.

  • Partner with People Business Partners, IT and Finance to build processes that are practical, compliant and able to scale with TicketSwap.

  • Help colleagues in the People team understand and use new tools and automations, so improvements become part of how we work rather than depending on one person.

  • Contribute to broader People & Culture projects, from employee experience and engagement initiatives to supporting recruitment during busy hiring periods.

About you

You don’t need to arrive knowing every tool or having automated an entire People function. We’re looking for someone who understands People Operations, is comfortable with technology and genuinely enjoys making things work better.

You’ll likely feel at home in this role if:

  • You have some experience in People Operations, HR administration, HR systems or a similar role, and understand core processes such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll and employee data management.

  • You’re confident handling operational People work yourself and enjoy getting the details right.

  • You’ve improved or automated workflows before, whether through HR system functionality, no-code tools such as Zapier or Make, or similar solutions.

  • You’re comfortable working with HR systems. Experience with Personio, an ATS, Loket and Notion is a plus.

  • You’re curious about technology and naturally look for opportunities to simplify repetitive or inefficient processes.

  • You’re comfortable working with data and can turn information into useful reporting and insights.

  • You understand the importance of handling employee information carefully and have a working understanding of GDPR and Dutch employment practices, or the motivation to deepen your knowledge quickly.

  • You can translate a People need into a practical process or technical solution without making things more complicated than they need to be.

  • You’re organised and detail-oriented, while still being able to step back and see how a process could work better as a whole.

  • You communicate clearly and enjoy helping colleagues, whether that means answering a payroll question or showing the People team how a new automation works.

  • You’re proactive and comfortable taking ownership in a growing international environment.

  • You’re fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a plus.

We know people don’t always apply unless they meet every requirement. If this role excites you and you think you could make an impact here, we’d still like to hear from you.

Why you’ll love it here

This is a role where operational ownership and improvement go hand in hand. You’ll have the opportunity to make everyday experiences better for TicketSwappers while helping us build People operations that can support our next stage of growth.

You’ll work with an international team where responsibility comes early, good ideas matter more than hierarchy, and you’re encouraged to challenge processes that could work better. Your improvements won’t disappear into a roadmap somewhere: you’ll be able to see their impact in how our colleagues experience TicketSwap every day.

Practical details

  • Location: Amsterdam or within reasonable travelling distance

  • Work setup: Hybrid, with 60% of your working week at our Amsterdam office and the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 40%

  • Hours: 32–40 hours per week

  • Language: Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

  • Right to work: You’ll need an existing right to work in the Netherlands

  • Contract: 12 months
