mobile.de is Germany’s largest vehicle marketplace, with more than 1.6 million listed cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and e-bikes (annual average 2025). Both private customers and registered vehicle dealers use the platform and benefit from more than 140 million visits per month*. As a “one-stop shop,” mobile.de’s offering includes not only buying and selling, but also financing and leasing solutions. Founded in 1996, the company is a subsidiary of Adevinta, a global leader in online classified portals.

Based in Berlin-Charlottenburg, we offer a dynamic environment where growth, learning, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. If you are driven by an eagerness to disrupt, have a passion for collaboration, and are excited about shaping the future of mobility, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a People Operations Specialist (d/f/m) - fixed term contract- 18 months to support the integration of a newly acquired company. You will help bring People Operations processes across both organisations together, so that employees on both sides get a clear, consistent experience.
You will also play a key role in shaping our AI-first approach to People Operations. You will feed and improve the knowledge base behind our AI assistant that answers employee questions, and you will design and run workflow automations that free the team up for higher-value work.

You will work closely with the Head of Employee Relations & People Operations, People Partners, Payroll, Finance, IT and the acquired company's HR contacts. This is a temporary role for 18 months renewable, with the aim of leaving behind clear, documented processes, a working AI knowledge base, and automations that the team can run on its own.
  • 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR operations, or HR generalist roles, ideally in a tech or scale-up environment.
  • Hands-on experience using AI beyond basic prompting, for example: building or structuring knowledge sources for chatbots or assistants, designing AI-supported workflows, or systematically improving AI output quality over time.
  • A genuine interest in AI and how it can change People Operations. You keep up with new tools and approaches and like testing them in practice.
  • Experience with process standardisation, process documentation, or change projects. Experience with a merger, acquisition, or integration is a plus.
  • Strong organisational skills. You can keep several workstreams and deadlines on track at the same time.
  • A solution-oriented and collaborative approach. You are comfortable working with different stakeholders and company cultures.
  • Good understanding of data protection requirements (GDPR) in an HR context.
  • Strong communication skills in German (required) and English.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with M&A integration or carve-out projects.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms or workflow and documentation tools.
Integration and process work
  • Support the integration of People Operations processes for the acquired company, such as onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, and employee documentation.
  • Map the acquired company's current People processes, identify differences from our standards, and propose a target process.
  • Run assigned processes end-to-end during the integration, following agreed guidelines and timelines.
  • Coordinate process handovers, dependencies, and cut-over steps with internal teams and the acquired company's HR contacts.
  • Support the transfer and clean-up of People data within the agreed scope.
AI-first support and automation
  • Build and maintain the knowledge base that powers our AI employee assistant: structure content, define source-of-truth ownership, and close gaps where the bot fails to answer.
  • Analyse bot conversations and queries to identify recurring questions, wrong or incomplete answers, and content that needs to be rewritten.
  • Design, build, and maintain workflow automations for People Operations tasks (e.g. onboarding triggers, document requests, reminders, status updates), in line with data protection requirements.
  • Define quality checks for AI outputs, such as accuracy, tone, and escalation rules, and monitor them over time.
  • Identify new use cases where AI can reduce manual effort in People Operations and propose a pragmatic path to implement them.
Documentation and governance
  • Document processes, checklists, and workflows for both organisations and keep them up to date.
  • Create and maintain knowledge hubs for employees and the People team that cover the integrated processes.
  • Spot bottlenecks, quality issues, and risks early, and escalate them.
  • Manage your assigned integration workstreams independently.
