Make an impact with us

At Milestone Systems, what you do matters. People are at the heart of everything we do, grounded in integrity, collaboration, strong relationships, and a curiosity that drives continuous learning. It is how we work together, learn from one another, embrace new perspectives, and create lasting impact.

In this role, you will be a trusted partner to managers and teams, helping them turn business priorities into value adding people actions. You will create impact through thoughtful coaching, strong relationships and the confidence to help managers build strong teams.

About the role

As People Partner, you will own the people partnership for your assigned business areas. You will work closely with managers, leadership teams and, when relevant, their teams to strengthen leadership, engagement, performance and organisational effectiveness.

You will report to the Head of People & Culture HQ and become part of our global People & Culture team, collaborating with colleagues across regions and specialist areas.

What makes this role interesting is the breadth. One day you may coach a manager through a sensitive performance conversation; the next, you may facilitate a leadership-team workshop, support a recruitment process or turn engagement insights into focused action. You will have room to influence, while staying close to the managers and teams you support.

What you will do

  • Partner with managers, leadership teams and, when relevant, their teams to understand business priorities and translate them into focused people plans and actions.
  • Coach and challenge managers on leadership dilemmas, team effectiveness, engagement, development and retention, building their confidence to lead well.
  • Guide managers through employee relations and performance matters including difficult conversations, performance improvement plans, disciplinary issues and terminations, with clear documentation and sound judgement.
  • Drive key people processes such as talent reviews, performance management, annual salary review and individual development follow-up.
  • Use people data and insight including engagement results and workforce information, to identify priorities, support decisions and follow through on actions.
  • Support organisation design, workforce planning and change by facilitating discussions, challenging assumptions and helping leaders make sustainable decisions.
  • Support recruitment and facilitate team interventions by partnering with hiring managers on recruitments, and by planning and facilitating workshops for leadership teams and employee groups.

What you bring

We are looking for someone with:

  • 5-8 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, People Partner or in a comparable broad people role, ideally in an international or matrix organisation.
  • Strong experience coaching and advising managers at different levels, with the credibility to be supportive, candid and appropriately challenging.
  • Hands-on experience with performance management and employee relations, including sensitive conversations, performance improvement and organisational change.
  • A good understanding of talent, engagement, workforce planning, organisation design and reward processes, and how these areas connect to business outcomes.
  • The ability to use people data to spot patterns, frame choices and support practical decision-making.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with fluency in English.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in HR, People & Culture, business or organisational development.

How you will make a difference

  • You will thrive in this role if you are curious about the business, easy to work with and motivated by helping managers succeed rather than taking ownership away from them.
  • You build trust quickly, keep momentum when topics are complex and can move comfortably between strategic perspective and hands-on support.
  • You are decisive and comfortable working independently, while knowing that support and sparring from colleagues are always close at hand.
  • You bring empathy to sensitive situations, but you are also clear, pragmatic and willing to challenge when it matters.

Meet the team

You’ll join People & Culture HQ, a collaborative team of 6, working closely with managers, employees and specialist colleagues across Milestone. We care about making People & Culture support useful, consistent and close to the business.

We share perspectives, help each other and keep things practical. You will have space to shape your partnerships and contribute to how our People Partner model continues to develop.

How we support you

At Milestone, we want you to have the opportunity to do meaningful work, develop your skills and grow your career.

We offer you:

  • Individual development plans aligned with your career goals
  • Access to training, learning resources, and certifications
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Supportive leadership and regular feedback
  • Opportunities for cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration
  • Social activities and spaces to connect with colleagues

Ready to make an impact?

If you are excited about working closely with managers and teams, shaping meaningful people solutions and helping leaders navigate both opportunities and difficult moments, we would love to hear from you.
