Role Overview


Join Job Duck as a Personal Injury Case Handling Specialist supporting a fast-paced personal injury practice where your legal expertise and client-centered approach will make a meaningful impact. In this role, you will play a key part in guiding cases from intake through resolution, ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their legal journey. You will collaborate closely with legal teams, manage critical documentation, and proactively follow up on case progress while maintaining high attention to detail. Schedule:


Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM [EST][EDT] (United States of America)


Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:


  • Handling medical reductions and coordinating with medical providers and lienholders
  • Managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution
  • Monitoring case deadlines, treatment progress, and follow-up activities
  • Preparing and customizing spoliation letters based on case-specific needs
  • Drafting legal documents and case-related correspondence
  • Communicating with clients via phone, email, and text, providing case updates and guidance
  • Maintaining communication with insurance adjusters and other stakeholders
  • Requesting and reviewing medical records, bills, police reports, and insurance documentation
  • Verifying health insurance coverage and identifying applicable benefits
  • Drafting subrogation letters and managing subrogation-related matters
  • Taking ownership of assigned cases and working effectively with minimal supervision
  • Identifying and resolving case issues proactively to ensure timely case progression
  • Collaborating with attorneys and team members to support pre-litigation and litigation matters
  • Maintaining accurate case files, records, and case notes
  • Delivering exceptional client service and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Supporting settlement and case resolution efforts by ensuring all documentation is complete
  • Managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail


What We’re Looking For:


  • 1–2 years of experience working as a Case Manager
  • Experience with U.S. personal injury law is a MUST
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law is REQUIRED
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury legal processes
  • Strong subrogation experience, including drafting, preparing, and managing subrogation letters
  • Experience handling medical reductions and negotiating with medical providers when appropriate
  • Proven ability to independently manage case management responsibilities from intake through resolution
  • Experience preparing and managing spoliation letters, with the ability to customize each letter based on the specific facts and circumstances of each case
  • High level of attention to detail, particularly when reviewing case documentation, records, and correspondence
  • Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to follow up consistently and ensure case progression
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Confidence working under pressure and effectively prioritizing competing responsibilities
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and processes
  • Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and commitment to case completion
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain positive client relationships
  • Reliable computer setup (laptop/PC, headset, stable internet min. 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload)
  • Quiet, distraction-free remote work environment
