About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to support our Australian client. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented bookkeeping professional with strong Australian GST knowledge and hands-on experience using MYOB AccountRight. Experience working with accounting firm businesses will be highly regarded.

This is full-time role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping
  
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  
• Prepare and lodge BAS
  
• Ensure accurate GST coding and compliance with Australian regulations
  
• Process payroll and maintain employee records (if required)
  
• Maintain accurate financial records and generate reports
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
  
• Liaise with accountants and other stakeholders as needed
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper supporting Australian businesses
  
• Strong proficiency in MYOB and other accounting software
  
• Solid understanding of Australian GST and BAS requirements
  
• CPA qualification (preferred)
  
• Experience working with accounting firm is highly desirable
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Strong written and verbal English communication
  
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
