PHP & Wordpress Developer

We are a growing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software consulting business located in Australia, helping businesses to setup CRM Software.

This WordPress Developer & Designer position presents you with the opportunity to work with a close-knit & collaborative work-from-home team. You will work on a diverse range of projects for a wide range of Australian & International clients.

We’re looking for an experienced PHP & WordPress developer (Laravel is an added bonus).

You will need to be an effective problem solver, fit seamlessly into our exciting & dynamic team, have excellent written & verbal communication skills, understand user flow, and have a great eye for detail.

This position will see you work collaboratively with other developers, the Project Management team and Clients to achieve outstanding results.

The Role:

• Front & back-end development tasks across a range of projects for all industries
  
• Develop and optimizing the user interface.
  
• Ability to interpret creative direction into carefully considered visual layouts
  
• Implementing design on desktop and mobile websites.
  
• Following SEO best practices.
  
• Build the front-end website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap5 and following the clients design in FIGMA.
  
• Communicating with the Project Managers to achieve the desired result
  
• Communicating with Clients in meetings to ensure their expectations are exceeded
  
• Researching to troubleshoot technical bugs
  
• In-depth knowledge of the entire web development process (design, development and launch)
  
• Excellent communication skills with creatives, clients & developers
  
• Very strong eye for design, detail & an understanding of design principles
  
• Highly motivated, productive and collaborative approach to your work
  
• Managing project progress with development team to ensure quality standards are upheld & deadlines are achieved
  

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years solid experience in developing modern creative websites and WordPress themes This includes working with, but is not limited to:
  
• Building Themes
  
• Experience with WordPress block editor
  
• Advanced knowledge and experience with WordPress (eg. Custom Post Types & Taxonomies, Advanced Custom Fields plugin, WP template hierarchy, custom loops & queries, hooks & filters etc)
  
• Customising pre-existing themes
  
• Setting up plugins
  
• Mobile optimisation
  
• Strong knowledge in Advanced PHP, HTML, CSS (SASS), JavaScript, jQuery & PHP Laravel, JavaScript skills.
  
• Experience with Laravel a HUGE advantage
  
• Great attention to detail and a passion for processes
  
• Be a flexible working team member who can assist others when required
  
• Excellent written and verbal English.
  
• Can supply your own computer/laptop.
