Platform: PC / Steam
Engine: Unity
Project: E2E — Multiplayer Party Game
Availability: Part-time or Project-based — Remote
Quick Note About Compensation
This role is offered on a revenue-share basis rather than a monthly salary.
We are an independent game studio developing multiple PC games for Steam, and we use a simple and transparent collaboration model:
You contribute your creative work → The game launches → You receive your agreed share of the game's revenue.
There is no upfront payment or guaranteed salary. Revenue sharing is subject to a mutually agreed written contract and the game's commercial performance.
This is not a co-founder position and does not involve a large equity stake. It is a creative collaboration opportunity for talented artists who enjoy bringing characters to life through comedy and want to contribute to a commercially released video game.
If this model works for you, we'd be happy to hear from you.
About Us
We are TINK TEAM LTD, a UK-based technology company and independent game development studio.
Our international team is currently developing several PC games for Steam, with a focus on engaging gameplay, distinctive characters, and memorable player experiences.
One of our projects, E2E, is a lighthearted multiplayer party game featuring 12 adorable 3D animal characters.
Players see their friends as animal characters while competing in a variety of entertaining mini-games. Our goal is to make these characters more than simple avatars. We want them to feel alive, lovable, expressive, and genuinely funny.
To achieve this, we are looking for a creative Physical Comedy & Character Performance Artist who can help us develop unique personalities, humorous behaviors, and entertaining physical performances for our animal characters.
Role Overview
This position is intended for a creative performer or comedy artist with a strong understanding of physical comedy, mime, slapstick, clowning, or character-based humor.
Your main responsibility will be to help us make our 12 animal characters more entertaining through funny movements, expressive body language, amusing reactions, and short comedic situations.
We are particularly interested in comedy that works without dialogue, where facial expressions, gestures, timing, body movements, and interactions naturally make people laugh.
Our characters frequently sit together, observe other players, react to gameplay events, celebrate victories, and respond to funny mistakes.
We want each animal to have its own recognizable personality and distinctive comedic behavior.
You will not be expected to develop the game or create finished 3D animations. Our existing animation and development teams will handle technical production.
Your role will focus on creative ideas, character performance, comedic direction, and practical performance references that our animators can translate into the game.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop unique and recognizable comedic personalities for our 12 animal characters.
- Create funny, charming, and expressive character behaviors using physical comedy and body language.
- Design short, repeatable comedic actions suitable for in-game animations.
- Develop amusing idle behaviors for characters sitting, waiting, observing, or interacting with others.
- Create humorous reactions to winning, losing, making mistakes, becoming confused, or experiencing unexpected situations.
- Design entertaining physical interactions between animal characters.
- Explore comedy through facial expressions, eyes, ears, head movements, posture, gestures, and body language.
- Apply mime, slapstick, clowning, and situational comedy techniques to character performances.
- Develop humorous situations that feel spontaneous and natural during multiplayer gameplay.
- Create distinct reactions and behaviors that reflect each animal's personality.
- Consider comedic timing, anticipation, exaggeration, pauses, and unexpected reactions.
- Present creative concepts through short performance videos, demonstrations, sketches, storyboards, or written descriptions.
- Collaborate with our animators, artists, and game designers to translate these concepts into practical game animations.
- Help ensure comedic animations remain entertaining even when repeated during gameplay.
- Keep ideas practical, relatively simple to animate, and suitable for a multiplayer game.
Requirements
- Strong creative ability in physical comedy, mime, clowning, slapstick, or character performance.
- Experience in at least one relevant field, such as theatre, comedy performance, improvisation, physical theatre, animation acting, or visual storytelling.
- Ability to communicate humor through movement, gestures, expressions, and timing rather than relying on dialogue.
- Good understanding of what makes a character funny, lovable, and memorable.
- Ability to develop distinctive personalities and behaviors for different characters.
- Creativity in developing short comedic situations and repeatable performances.
- Ability to exaggerate emotions and physical reactions in an entertaining but understandable way.
- Comfortable demonstrating ideas through acting, recording short videos, or creating simple performance references.
- Ability to collaborate remotely with game artists, animators, and designers.
- Good communication skills and willingness to receive and discuss creative feedback.
- A genuine interest in comedy, character creation, and interactive entertainment.
Professional video game development experience is not required.
Unity, programming, and 3D animation skills are not required.
We welcome talented performers from theatre, mime, improvisation, comedy, animation, and related creative backgrounds.
Nice to Have
- Experience performing or directing non-verbal comedy.
- Experience creating cartoon-like or exaggerated character performances.
- Familiarity with animated comedy such as Shaun the Sheep, Wallace & Gromit, or Mr. Bean.
- Experience developing comedy for short-form videos, social media, animation, or games.
- Ability to perform multiple distinctive characters.
- Experience with animal-inspired movement or character acting.
- An interest in multiplayer party games and player-driven comedy.
What Makes This Opportunity Interesting?
Unlike traditional theatre, film, or television, video games allow characters to react to real players in unpredictable situations.
In Ear to Ear, your comedic ideas could become part of hundreds of funny moments shared between friends.
A single well-designed character reaction or amusing physical behavior may entertain players repeatedly throughout the game's lifetime.
You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the creative identity of our animal characters and see your performance ideas brought to life by our animation team.
We value originality, creativity, comedic timing, and personality more than formal qualifications or industry recognition.
How to Apply
If you enjoy making people laugh through movement, expressions, physical performance, and imaginative characters, we would be happy to hear from you.
We are interested in both experienced comedy professionals and talented independent artists who can demonstrate strong creative ability.
Please contact us via WhatsApp and include:
- A short introduction about yourself.
- Your experience in physical comedy, mime, clowning, improvisation, theatre, or character performance.
- Links to performance videos, comedy sketches, social media content, or other examples of your creative work.
- A brief explanation of your interest in creating comedy for animated animal characters.
- Your preferred engagement type: Part-time or Project-based.
- Confirmation that you are open to discussing a revenue-share collaboration without upfront payment or a guaranteed salary.
We look forward to meeting creative people who can help make Ear to Ear's animal characters unforgettable.
