The Award Winning Speech Momi LLC, a staple in the therapeutic community, is growing its online Physical Therapy team.
Under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA assists in supplementing, enhancing, and extending physical therapy services by completing a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to, direct activities with clients designed to assess and enhance mobility/range of joints, transfer status, stability, patterns and appearance of ambulation, strength and endurance of muscles, balance testing and safety measures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts physiological screenings, using screening protocols developed by the supervising Physical Therapist;
Provides direct assistance for vestibular strengthening and gait enhancement to students and adults;
Follows and implements documented treatment plans while monitoring client progress;
Assists other multidisciplinary teams during the peak of client reviews and intakes/assessments;
Co-adapts or co-modifies instructional materials as determined by the targeted treatment objectives;
Assists in maintaining client records, tallying data, preparing charts, records, graphs, and reports;
Assists in sharing online multidisciplinary input with requesting families and medical practitioners;
Implements behavior management programs as designed by certified ABA/Neuro staff;
Attends online clinical team meetings on an as needed basis
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy program
Licenses and Certificates:
Current registration with a Board as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Knowledge of:
Physical therapy equipment, materials, and procedures;
Strengthen training and treatment planning;
Learning patterns in both children and adults;
Behavior management techniques and strategies;
Routine record keeping.
