Working under multiple, concurrent task order awards, we are called upon again and again to meet urgent deadlines all over the world to satisfy various sustainability, facility management, master planning, emergency management, design and community planning needs. DESCRIPTION The Planning Associate (Federal) will support planning projects across the U.S. and overseas for U.S. Department of Defense clients, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force. The ideal candidate will be driven, intellectually curious, and committed to excellence. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience working with the U.S. Department of Defense, analytical skills, knowledge of planning concepts, and the ability to travel on-site to client locations in the U.S. and overseas. The Planning Associate (Federal) will work on multidisciplinary teams within the Federal Planning Practice to support our projects and should have strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Projects may include master planning, facilitation and charrettes, facility utilization studies, requirements analyses, facility programming, and planning standards/DD Form 1391 development. This position will include interfacing with stakeholders onsite and through virtual meetings, preparing reports and documents, providing deliverables in a timely manner, and handling multiple tasks at one time. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to effectively communicate regarding data needs, priorities, and support matters. Required qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience working with or for the U.S. Department of Defense on planning or planning-related projects; please specify which Service(s) in your application. Experience collecting, compiling, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting reports and projects. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Availability to travel to client sites in the U.S. and overseas (25% of time). This role requires U.S. Citizenship. Preferred qualifications: A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field of study. AICP Candidate or demonstrated progress toward other related professional certification (e.g., GISP). Experience with U.S. Department of Defense software and data systems; please specify which systems in your application. Experience with Esri ArcGIS suite and/or AutoCAD. COMPENSATION The range for this role is $69,000 – $91,000; this will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. #LI-LL1
