- Sydney location (Bella Vista). Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

E2E Meat
E2E Meat is Woolworths' fully integrated, multi-channel red meat team. Our end-to-end operational model spans commercial, product development, and the supply chain, where we manage livestock, processing, manufacturing, and strategic planning. We maintain total oversight and ensure excellence from farm to customer.

What You'll Do
You will partner hand-in-hand with our Planning and Procurement Specialists, learning the intricacies of beef, pork, and lamb supply networks while keeping our daily operations running like clockwork:
Supply Network Planning
- Fuel the Network Engine: Review manufacturing schedules and curate critical planning inputs to ensure our national supply network operates without friction.
- Master Carcass Optimisation: Coordinate complex carcass breakdowns across primary processing sites and direct raw material sequencing into secondary manufacturing facilities across beef, pork, and lamb.
- Execute Production Precision: Generate and issue timely, pinpoint-accurate production orders to our primary processing partners.
- Balance Supply & Demand: Proactively pinpoint volume gaps and team up with sourcing specialists to secure supplementary supply before shortages occur.
- Mitigate Risk & Unlock Value: Continually analyse forward inventory across manufacturing sites, identifying risks and opportunities (R&O) to maintain an agile, optimised stock position.
- Analyse Market Dynamics: Evaluate forward demand and supply trends to forecast primal purchasing needs, pin down volume requirements, and secure ideal delivery schedules.
- Engage Strategic Sourcing: Learn and apply versatile procurement levers—from expressions of interest (EOIs) and long-term agreements to fast-paced spot market purchases.
- Build Commercial Proposals: Craft data-driven purchasing business cases that articulate clear commercial rationale, trade-offs, and risk/opportunity analyses.
- Drive Contract Flexibility: Monitor dynamic network positions to flex contract terms and volume allocations, maximising value and operational resilience.
- Partner for Impact: Issue purchase orders and collaborate side-by-side with external supplier and processor partners to resolve operational bottlenecks in real time.
We are looking for a curious, proactive, and commercially minded individual eager to immerse themselves in agricultural and food supply chains. This individual should bring:
- 1-2 years of practical experience within a supply chain, planning, or procurement support role (ideally within food, FMCG, or agribusiness), backed by a solid foundational grasp of demand and supply planning principles.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Excel and basic data tools, using them comfortably to track operational metrics, spot trends, and generate reports that guide team decisions.
- Hands-on experience executing core procurement tasks with precision, such as raising purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and communicating clearly with suppliers.
- A keen eye for detail when reviewing forward stock positions across production sites, proactively flagging potential shortages or inventory risks to the team.
- Strong learning agility and tech adaptability, enabling you to quickly pick up operational software platforms like Quintiq and Foods Connected while developing a deep passion for the red meat value chain.
