The Role

Als Platform & Database Architect ontwerp, onderhoud en vernieuw je de architectuur van het standaard serviceplatform: de basis waarop databases, middleware en containers voor veel teams op dezelfde manier draaien. Je bepaalt de referentiearchitecturen en de standaard platformproducten, legt ze vast in Infrastructure as Code en bouwt beschikbaarheid vanaf het ontwerp in. Je bent het aanspreekpunt voor de andere platformteams en blijft betrokken tot de overdracht aan beheer.

Je komt in dienst bij Kyndryl en werkt voor een opdrachtgever in de defensie- en veiligheidssector die zijn IT-infrastructuur volledig vernieuwt. Later kun je ook voor andere klanten van Kyndryl aan de slag.

Succes in deze rol betekent dat teams hun databases en middleware afnemen op een standaard, goed beschikbaar platform, dat implementaties aansluiten op de referentiearchitectuur en dat het platform herhaalbaar in code is vastgelegd.

Wat ga je doen

Ontwerp het platform

• Werk de architectuur van het standaard serviceplatform uit en ontwikkel de referentiearchitecturen verder
• Bepaal de standaard platformproducten voor databases en middleware, zoals Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Apache HTTPD, Tomcat en PHP
• Bouw hoge beschikbaarheid en availability zones vanaf het eerste ontwerp in

Standaardiseer en automatiseer

• Geef vorm aan de standaard deploymentvarianten: golden images, Helm charts en templates
• Leg het platform vast in Infrastructure as Code, zodat omgevingen herhaalbaar worden opgebouwd

Bewaak de kwaliteit

• Toets implementaties met design reviews en IaC-reviews aan de referentiearchitectuur
• Blijf eigenaar van de hele lifecycle, van ontwerp tot overdracht aan beheer

Werk samen over teams heen

• Stem als coördinerend architect af met de andere platformteams
• Help engineeringteams op weg met templates en richtlijnen

Je werkt hybride: minimaal twee dagen per week op een locatie van de opdrachtgever in Midden-Nederland, de andere dagen in overleg. Het salaris is € 86.000 tot € 108.000 bruto per jaar, inclusief vakantiegeld en dertiende maand, afhankelijk van je ervaring.

Daarnaast krijg je onder meer een telefoon en laptop van de zaak, een maandelijkse internetvergoeding en tot vijf weken extra partnerverlof met behoud van salaris. Met de Kyndryl Social Club zijn er regelmatig borrels, Lunch and Learns en sportactiviteiten.

Waar je ook naartoe wilt groeien, bij Kyndryl krijg je de ruimte. Je kunt je verder verdiepen als architect, de breedte in gaan of doorgroeien naar Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect of Distinguished Engineer. Ondertussen haal je certificeringen en werk je in een sterk architectuurteam dat steeds verder kijkt dan wat nu kan.

Who You Are

Je ziet databases, middleware en containers als één platform en legt dat het liefst vast in code. Je houdt overzicht over meerdere teams heen en bewaakt de kwaliteit, van het eerste ontwerp tot de overdracht aan beheer.

Vereiste vaardigheden en ervaring

• Platformarchitectuur voor databases en middleware, zoals Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Apache HTTPD, Tomcat of PHP.
• Containerplatformen en standaard deploymentvarianten: Helm charts, golden images en templates.
• Ervaring met Infrastructure as Code en automatisering.
• Ontwerpen voor hoge beschikbaarheid, inclusief availability zones.
• Referentiearchitecturen opstellen en design reviews en IaC-reviews uitvoeren.
• Vloeiend Nederlands, de Nederlandse nationaliteit en een Nederlands paspoort.
• Bereidheid tot een screening op niveau VGB-B door de MIVD. Kyndryl begeleidt je daarbij.

Gewenste vaardigheden en ervaring

• Ervaring met afstemming tussen platformteams, zoals cloud management, netwerk, virtualisatie, besturingssystemen, ServiceNow, GitLab en monitoring.
• Bekend met de defensie- en veiligheidssector.
