**Platform Engineer (Microsoft Fabric/Azure/Power Platform) – Full Remote Portugal** **ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY** A focused, high-ownership platform engineering role for someone who knows the Microsoft data and AI ecosystem from the inside out. You'll be the technical authority responsible for the architecture, governance, and operational stability of a Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform environment — not supporting it from the sidelines, but designing the foundations that everyone else builds on. If you've gone deep on Fabric, take security and compliance architecture seriously, and find satisfaction in platforms that just work, this is the role. **PROJECT & CONTEXT** You'll own the holistic technical architecture of a Microsoft AI and data platform centred on **Microsoft Fabric** and **Power Platform**. The scope spans foundational governance design, security architecture, access control models, environment strategy, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy implementation. You'll also be responsible for ongoing capacity management and performance monitoring — ensuring the platform operates securely, compliantly, and at high utilisation across the organisation. **WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR** **Experience** - Solid hands-on experience in a **Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Data Platform** role - **Fluent English** — written and spoken, for stakeholder communication and technical documentation **Microsoft Fabric & Power Platform** - Hands-on experience with **Microsoft Fabric** — architecture, configuration, and operational management - Working knowledge of **Microsoft Power Platform** in an enterprise context - Ability to design and implement **environment strategies** across workspaces and platform layers **Azure & Cloud Infrastructure** - Strong **Microsoft Azure** experience — identity, networking, security services, and integration patterns - Familiarity with Azure governance tooling: **Azure Policy, RBAC, Entra ID (Azure AD)**, and related services **Security, Governance & Compliance** - Hands-on design and implementation of **security architecture** and access control models (roles, permissions, entitlements) - Experience implementing and managing **Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies** in Microsoft environments - Understanding of compliant data operations and regulatory alignment in enterprise platform contexts **Platform Operations** - Experience with **capacity management and performance monitoring** across data and analytics platforms - Ability to maintain operational stability and drive platform reliability at scale **NICE TO HAVE** - Experience with **Microsoft Purview** for data governance and compliance - Familiarity with **Fabric workload management** — lakehouses, warehouses, pipelines, and semantic models - Background in **Power BI governance** — workspace management, deployment pipelines, and dataset certification - Exposure to **Microsoft 365 compliance tooling** and information protection frameworks - Experience in regulated industries where platform compliance and audit readiness are standard requirements - Knowledge of **IaC tooling** (Terraform, Bicep) for Azure resource provisioning
