Is this job info correct?
Optus is an Australian telecommunications company, delivering more than 11 million services to our customers every day across mobile, broadband and digital solutions.

As a Platform Lead within OSS Delivery, you will own and drive the evolution of critical operational platforms that underpin service activation, fulfilment, number management, and core telecommunications capabilities. Acting as the bridge between architecture, delivery, and operations teams, you will translate business and technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions while ensuring platform stability, performance, security, and long-term strategic alignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a technology leader who enjoys combining solution design, stakeholder engagement, platform ownership, and roadmap planning within a complex enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and operational performance of key OSS platforms, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead the design and delivery of complex technology solutions, translating business requirements into end-to-end technical designs and guiding initiatives through implementation and production support.
  • Partner with architects, engineers, business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to define platform direction, manage dependencies, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for assigned platforms, providing technical leadership, managing platform risks and vulnerabilities, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and future innovation.

What You Bring

  • Experience in platform ownership, solution design, systems engineering, architecture, or OSS delivery within a large-scale technology or telecommunications environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSS fulfilment platforms, system integration, application architecture, and end-to-end technology delivery, with the ability to balance strategic direction and operational requirements.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience collaborating across architecture, operations, project delivery, vendors, and senior business leaders.
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Cloud certifications and experience with OSS platforms such as NetCracker, Amdocs, Oracle, or similar technologies will be highly regarded.

The good stuff….

  • Competitive remuneration and employee discounts. Make life easier (and more affordable) with $80 monthly credit and 25% off Optus products and unique shopping discounts with our retail partners.
  • Flexible working arrangements with opportunities to work three days in the office, two days remote or home.
  • Vibrant and collaborative office campus that includes cafes, convenience store, chill out zones, GP, post office, gym and on-site childcare centre.
  • Competitive leave policies, including additional 'Connected’ days to focus on culture, family, health, community, or whatever’s important to you.
  • We support growing families with inclusive, carer-neutral paid Parental Leave of up to 16 weeks.
  • Build meaningful connections through employee-led networks and diversity initiatives including Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network and Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+).
  • Put your wellbeing first with free access to counselling and support services, 24/7 — in-person, by phone, SMS, or video.
  • Free Optus bus from Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon.
