Responsibilities

We are looking for a Platform Technical Lead who will play a key role in the architectural decisions of the platform, belonging to the architecture career map (System Architect). You will develop, maintain, and advocate for the technical roadmap of the platform/system, working closely with the Product Owner to balance product features with non-functional requirements such as long-term maintainability, scalability, security, and performance.

You will act as technical mentor and facilitator for the team(s) developing and operating the platform, and you will be a key point of contact between the platform, the Architecture function, and other IT areas.

• Develop, maintain, and advocate for the technical roadmap of the platform, aligning it with the IT strategy and the architecture vision.
• Advise the Product Owner and the Business Units in the product ideation phases, from a technical point of view.
• Provide technical solutions aligned with the architecture vision, taking the lead in opening discussions with Architecture about new technologies or systems to be adopted.
• Promote and monitor software quality, both at source code and functional level, defining good practices and ensuring the team applies agreed software quality standards.
• Encourage and monitor automation at all levels (testing and implementation), and implement agile practices such as Pair Programming or Code Review.
• Ensure technical debt is incorporated and prioritized in the Product Backlog, and make the impact of not addressing it visible to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and track non-functional requirements (security, backup, performance, proactive and reactive monitoring) across the team(s).
• Raise, manage, and follow up the technical dependencies of the product.
• Help and guide incidence resolution, finding and resolving root causes and recurrent issues.
• Be accountable for the health of the product, reducing technical debt and involving the whole team/organization in its reduction.
• Ensure the professional growth of the team at a technical level, teaching by example.
• Lead the technical lead forum, ensuring alignment and sharing good practices and solutions among the team leads.

Main stakeholders:

• Product Owner — to understand business needs and translate them into a technical roadmap and requirements for the team.
• Business Owners — to understand their needs and their ecosystem and plan a transformation roadmap to our ecosystem.
• Architecture function — to validate solutions and strategic architecture decisions, ensuring they are properly deployed.
• Other Technical Leads — to build common ground on best practices adoption.
• Software Quality & Automation (SQA) team — to define and monitor quality standards and automation.
• Development and Operations teams — providing mentoring and day-to-day technical leadership.

Competencies

• Strategic mindset and leadership skills to lead a team and drive the technical roadmap of a platform.
• Deep technical knowledge of the platform's domain, with the ability to make short and long-term decisions impacting individual applications and components.
• Strongly experience defining and governing modern distributed architectures based on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), ideally Java/Spring Boot microservices, data persistence (SQL and NoSQL as MongoDB), and event-driven integration patterns leveraging domain events through Kafka and RabbitMQ. Ability to establish and drive architectural standards that ensure platform scalability, resilience, maintainability, and long-term evolution.
• Solid experience in Software Development, ideally with hands-on background as a developer, able to understand and challenge technical designs, architectures, and code quality.
• Experience in Agile methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN, SAFe, LeSS, etc.) working with distributed/remote teams.
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements management: security, scalability, performance, monitoring, and backup.
• Experience working in environments streamlined/optimized through the use of AI, including piloting or initiating SDLC management with AI Agents.
• Proven experience driving the adoption of AI-powered agents, including GitHub Copilot and Claude, across the Software Development Lifecycle to improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.

Requirements Education:

• Master/B.A. in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish
