Our journey started in the 1980s. Over the past decade, we have grown by 20 percent annually, and it's all about talent. We truly value our people – many stay with us for years, with an average tenure of 10 years. Today we have over 340 proactive, engaged, and growth-minded people in 21 countries around the world. Over 6000 customers are using our software solutions in 60 countries. In the marine industry, our technology supports around 45 percent of the world’s shipyards. We continue strong growth.
We are looking for a PLM Solution Architect to join our team in Finland.
In this role, you will lead the architecture of customer PLM solutions from discovery through deployment and ongoing lifecycle development. You will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to turn business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that create long-term value. You will report to our PLM Project Director and work in a hybrid model from one of our offices (Turku, Tampere, Kotka).
What you will work on:
- Lead discovery activities and define end-to-end PLM solution architectures that align business needs, data, integrations, security, and operational requirements
- Own architecture decisions, assess fit-to-standard approaches, and ensure solutions remain maintainable, secure, and aligned with the Cadmatic product roadmap
- Provide technical leadership throughout implementation, including planning, configuration, integration, data migration, testing, deployment, and transition to support
- Guide engineers, partners, and project teams, review technical deliverables, and resolve cross-domain design challenges
- Identify architecture risks, dependencies, and technical constraints, and drive mitigation and governance decisions
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, customers, and presales teams to shape solutions, improve products, and share reusable practices
What helps you succeed in this role:
- Strong experience designing or delivering enterprise PLM, PDM, engineering information management, or similar business-critical solutions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical functional, data, integration, security, and deployment architectures
- Practical knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, data migration, identity and access management, and enterprise security principles
- Experience leading technical workshops, documenting architecture decisions, and guiding multidisciplinary teams
- Strong systems thinking and sound judgment when balancing customer needs, product capabilities, delivery constraints, and technical risks
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences
- Professional proficiency in English
Cadmatic as an employer:
- A stable, global company with a long history, strong future, and advanced software solutions
- A friendly, supportive, and truly multicultural work environment where we succeed together
- Autonomy, ownership, and trust: you’re encouraged to do your best work and develop professionally
- Competitive benefits and flexible working practices that support work‑life balance
- An engineer‑minded, people‑first culture; we take our work seriously but also enjoy ourselves along the way
