We’re Looking For A: Podcast Editor Intern
Location: Hybrid (Woodland Hills, CA)
- Start Date: January 11th
- End Date: March 14th
What You’ll Be Doing: Seeking a creative and motivated Podcast Editor Intern to support the growth of The Dr. Gundry Podcast on YouTube and audio platforms. Working under the Creative Director, YouTube & Podcast and alongside the team’s lead editor, this intern edits weekly full episodes, segment clips and Shorts, prepares the audio version of each episode, and helps keep the channel’s weekly publishing schedule on track. We’re looking for someone who knows podcasts, understands what makes podcast audio and YouTube content perform, and is excited to work in the health and wellness space. This internship is designed as a hands-on learning opportunity.
- Edit the weekly full-length podcast episode (30–45 minutes) for YouTube, including multicam sync, audio cleanup, pacing edits, intros, lower thirds and graphics.
- Cut a ~10-minute segment clip from each episode with a strong opening hook.
- Edit 4 YouTube Shorts per week from episode footage, formatted for reuse on Instagram and TikTok.
- Prepare and export the audio version of each episode for the audio podcast partner, including ad read insertion as needed.
- Prepare videos for upload, including captions, chapter timestamps and thumbnail drafts in Photoshop.
- Apply feedback from the Creative Director and lead editor and turn around revisions on schedule.
- Manage priorities and workload effectively to meet all schedules and deadlines.
- Bring creative ideas and trend-aware suggestions to the table to help evolve the channel’s content strategy.
- As time allows, build compilation (“mash-up”) videos from the back catalog: 3–4 videos on the same topic combined into a new video.
- Learn internal systems and organize project files and footage according to company specifications.
Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

- Passion for YouTube, content creation and digital storytelling.
- Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Open to feedback and quick to apply it.
- Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and deadline-driven.
- Interest in health, wellness and educational content.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- High school diploma
- 1 year of experience editing video for YouTube in Adobe Premiere Pro (school, freelance or personal projects count).
