Job Description
Saratech is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Polarion Architect to join our growing Engineering Excellence team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of software development expertise, enterprise architecture experience, knowledge of Siemens Digital Industries Software, and depth in the engineering domain.
The Polarion Architect will help design and deliver Siemens Polarion Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions for customers managing complex engineering and product development processes.
Working alongside an experienced Polarion Architect, this person will translate customer requirements into practical configurations, integrations, and workflows. The role combines customer consulting and hands-on implementation, with responsibility for assigned solution areas throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.
The successful candidate will work directly with customers, sales teams, project managers, and technical consultants to define Digital Thread strategies, develop technical solutions, and support successful deployment of digital transformation initiatives.
We are looking for an individual who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers, mentoring technical resources, and helping drive the future of Digital Thread enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design and Customer Engagement
- Participate in discovery workshops to understand customer objectives, engineering processes, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with the lead architect to define solution designs, implementation approaches, and configuration standards.
- Design requirements management, test management, defect tracking, change control, and lifecycle traceability processes.
- Translate business requirements into documented designs, user stories, and implementation tasks.
- Recommend standard capabilities, configuration options, and extensions that meet customer needs and support maintainability.
Implementation and Integration
- Configure Polarion work items, workflows, project templates, documents, permissions, dashboards, and reports.
- Develop and test scripts, extensions, and integrations using supported Polarion interfaces.
- Support integrations with Teamcenter, software development tools, test platforms, and other enterprise systems.
- Perform data mapping, migration, and validation activities.
- Support deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
- Create technical documentation and assist with customer training and knowledge transfer.
Project Delivery and Collaboration
- Own assigned technical deliverables and coordinate dependencies with the lead architect and project team.
- Contribute to estimates, implementation plans, and technical discussions.
- Identify risks, issues, and design decisions requiring review or escalation.
- Participate in design reviews, testing, and quality checks.
- Work with customer stakeholders to validate solutions and support adoption.
- Contribute reusable templates, documentation, and implementation practices to the services team.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of relevant experience in ALM, engineering software, or enterprise application implementation.
- Hands-on experience configuring and implementing Siemens Polarion.
- Understanding of requirements management, test management, change control, and traceability.
- Experience with Polarion workflows, work items, documents, permissions, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of APIs, scripting, and software development; experience with Java or relevant web technologies.
- Ability to work independently on assigned deliverables while collaborating on architecture and complex technical decisions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Polarion integrations, customization, or data migration.
- Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter and digital thread concepts.
- Experience supporting customers in regulated engineering industries.
- Familiarity with Agile development, verification and validation, and configuration management.
- Relevant Siemens Polarion training or certifications.

Paid Time Off: All full-time regular exempt employees are eligible for our Discretionary Time Off vacation policy after 90 days from their start date, Discretionary Time Off plan is a non-accrual plan for employees. All full-time regular non-exempt employees are eligible for our Paid Time Off Plan policy after 90 days, Paid Time Off plan is an 3.33 hours accrual per pay period for employees.
Paid Holidays: All full-time employees will receive 8 paid holidays per year. Full-time non-exempt employees receive an extra floater holiday per year.
Paid Sick time: All full-time employees will receive 32 sick hours per year. Part time employees will receive 24 hours or minimum sick time required by the state.
