Company Description

Nexus Strategic Consulting supports high-growth organisations in understanding and navigating complex policy, regulatory, and stakeholder environments. The firm provides clear, actionable insight to help clients make informed strategic decisions.

Working across sectors, Nexus Strategic Consulting connects policy analysis with real-world business challenges. Team members collaborate closely with clients, offering evidence-based guidance that drives sustainable growth and effective stakeholder engagement.

Role Description

We are looking for an early career professional who is interested in undertaking research and monitoring work. This role will be full time in a hybrid capacity, based in Dublin with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting qualitative and quantitative policy research, analysing regulatory developments, and preparing concise briefs, reports, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.

The role involves monitoring relevant legislative and policy trends, synthesising complex information into clear insights, and contributing to the design of policy scenarios and impact assessments.

This role is suitable for a highly capable early-stage professional. If you currently possess policy, public affairs or research experience of anywhere from 1 to 3 years and are eager to undertake active research, we are keen to talk. We are offering a concrete step toward becoming a recognised subject matter expert.

You will immerse yourself primarily in the technology and healthcare sectors, mastering the policies, frameworks, innovations, and parliamentary movements that shape them at an Irish and EU level.

What You Will Do

Gather Intelligence: Conduct rigorous, proactive research into the rapidly evolving tech and health sectors, identifying critical regulatory shifts, legislative changes, and emerging public affairs trends.

Command AI Monitoring Tools: Utilise, train, and refine advanced AI software to monitor parliamentary debates, committee work, legislative drafts and media discussions, extracting the signal from the noise.

Translate Complexity: Transform dense policy jargon, government documents, and massive datasets into sharp, actionable intelligence and clear strategic narratives.

Who You Are

Ready to Specialise: You likely have experience in an agency, PR, or consultancy environment. You are highly organised and know how to run a project flawlessly, and you are now ready to transition from managing timelines to owning the actual knowledge and policy expertise.

Politically & Analytically Minded: You have a natural aptitude for research and a genuine, active interest in how public policy, parliamentary action, and technological innovation intersect.

Tech-Forward: You are comfortable working with new software and AI-driven monitoring tools, and you adapt quickly to new tech environments to streamline your research.

Entrepreneurial: You thrive on your own initiative. You don't wait for a brief; you are proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and driven to find answers. You drive things forward.

A Clear Communicator: You possess the writing skills and professional polish to present complex legislative and sector findings clearly, concisely, and confidently.

Switched On, Plugged In: We want people who love consuming information, whether that’s Parliamentary Committees, policy documents, specialist podcasts, radio news bulletins: the lot.

What We Offer

Top Level Compensation: A highly competitive base salary relative to experience designed to attract top tier talent.

Annual Bonus: Industry leading end-of-year bonus structure directly tied to your impact and the company's continued growth.
