The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Port Planner to support port planning activities, coordinate vessel and cargo movements, and help optimize daily port operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a port operations, maritime logistics, shipping, transportation, or supply chain professional looking to grow their career in an international and fully remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily port planning and operational scheduling activities.
• Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, berthing, and port service requirements.
• Work closely with Port Operations, Marine Services, Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain, Transportation, and Operations teams.
• Monitor vessel schedules and coordinate operational changes.
• Support cargo movement and resource planning activities.
• Coordinate with terminals, shipping agents, carriers, and service providers.
• Maintain port planning records, vessel schedules, and operational documentation.
• Monitor port performance and operational KPIs.
• Help identify scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, and operational risks.
• Prepare planning reports and management updates.
• Support resolution of routine port and scheduling issues.
• Maintain organized records and document control procedures.
• Assist with process improvements across port operations.
• Promote efficient vessel and resource utilization.
• Stay informed about maritime, port planning, and logistics best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in port operations, maritime logistics, shipping, transportation, or a related role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of port operations and maritime logistics.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with port management systems, TOS, ERP systems, Excel, or scheduling software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with vessel scheduling, berth planning, cargo coordination, or terminal operations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams.
• UAE or GCC maritime or port experience is an advantage but not required.
• Relevant maritime, logistics, or supply chain certifications are welcome but not mandatory.
